The couple spent two days delivering food to critically ill residents who are at a greater risk amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic after Meghan wanted Harry to see the city 'through the eyes of philanthropy', following their move to LA last month. They went under-the-radar in dressed down clothes while delivering meals to 20 people, seen in exclusive DailyMail.com photos waving to a man after handing over bags of food. The source added: 'Some people didn't recognize them at first and others were just completely shocked. One elderly woman actually started to cry and said she had always been a fan and had always wanted to meet them, and then welcomed them to their new life in America.' The source added: 'Meghan said it felt good to finally be out and about, connecting with people. 'It was surreal and just so heartwarming. They brought so many smiles and made Easter so special for those who needed it the most.' The friend explained Meghan got the idea to volunteer with Project Angel Food from her mother Doria Ragland, who is a longtime supporter of the charity and a big fan of founder Marianne Williamson. [Harry and Meghan] asked a lot of questions and seemed genuinely concerned and grateful for the people working at Project Angel.' The friend added: 'She plans on volunteering much more with Harry and for the time being urged her mom to stay home and stay safe. Meghan and Harry dropping off food has been the first time they've been seen publicly since their last-minute move from Vancouver Island, Canada to Los Angeles. Guest Posted April 18, 2020 Share Posted April 18, 2020 It is pure PR. There was news that they "donated" 90k pounds to Feeding Britain, the way it was marketed is that they've DONATED. But within a couple of hours, it all changed. The money is actually coming from the BBC which is leftover from profit they made, cause they aid Harry & Meghan's wedding and they always said any surplus Harry & Meghan can donate that to a charity of their choice. So it's actually not THEIR money but the PR team marketed it one way to make it seem like it was THEIR money coming out of THEIR pocket. For two, before the footage was released the charity Project Angel Food put out a statement saying But soon after posting that on their IG feed, a lot of their volonteers spoke up saying that they had been put on "hiatus" so they wondered how come these two showed up? Project Angel deleted all these comments. Three, the footage has "BACKGRID" copyright on the bottom left, so did the WellChild video that Harry did for the families, why has it been obtained by BACKGRID? And why did they have the copyright rights? BACKGRID is a celebrity news agency, they are connecting the paparazzi & their contributors, are either people who have the photos to sell & get the right price for them. I understand why they might've obtained the Project Angel footage but why the WellChild interview? It's widely known that celebs sell their own photos to these type of press agencies. Could it be that Meghan & Harry sold the copyrights to Backgrid & Wellchild video because they are at the moment in a standstill with their trademarks and copyrights with their own new foundation/charity? It's not set up yet so they can't their own copyright symbol on it so without the right u cant monetize on it. But by selling the rights to BACKGRID and agreeing to a percentage of the kickbacks it would be an easy way to profit from that WellChild video. Copyright image is a big money maker. They've only done it for two days and only delivered 20 meals, yet they get all this publicity, I personally think it was a quiproquo with both the charity & H and M, a publicity stunt on both parties. The charity gets more donations bcs they get mentioned in the papers, H&M look like true humanitarians. These two never had a really good rep when it comes to publicity, they've had a pretty tough time we can all agree on that, especially since they've left the UK and Harry is not taking care of his "people" back in the UK with the pandemic that's going on.
