Why didn't they decide to release the bundles in the first week? We would have gotten a higher position than #5 and it would have flopped no matter what; now it's even more silly that the song gets a second peak, because clearly no one is here for that chorus-missing-loud-mess.. Or will they count for the album sales as well?

they count for the album

TEA: track equivalent sales

Tusa has clenched a year end spot and Stupid Love moved up to #77 (+3). A guaranteed year end spot this week was above #48.

SL's chance to score a year end spot is very thin but if they manage two more weeks this run and two or three more weeks for Chromatica release she might be able to land right at the bottom of the YEC.

If she brings like Rain On Me (with the teen idol Ariana), Bad Romance, Shallow and one digestible Chromatica track (so not SL) she’ll be fine I guess. Straights loved the SuperBowl after all.

but the breeders that liked the SB are the parents of the fortnite players :bradley:

I'm thinking in the 90s next week, then drop off, then re-enter on album release week for one or two more weeks.

Lol the collapse when the bundles send it #2 hot digital songs and top 20 album release week thanks to sour candy then #15-#98 - OUT :air:

But the parents don't stream and Shallow has massive streams :lolly:

Oh thanks! I think it's so funny that a track sale counts for an album sale.. Like it's a completly different thing

don't tell it wouldn't be epic if SL spent its last song on the Hot 100 at #11-15 or so and it went top 15-out

I'm gonna ask a question which might seem stupid to chartsters but i'll ask anyway because i want to know:

How difficult will it be for Chromatica to debut at #1 in the US?

It would be the OUT realness that everyone was desperately wanting it to serve with: 'radio payola only thing there to keep it alive'

so it'll be giving it to the girls 1 last time :fan:

if it doesn't debut #1 this site will be a war zone :billie:

It should have debut at #1 on lock unless someone huge surprise drops, but the sales will likely be tragic :vegas:

It's not easy to predict, since Gaga always sells a lot of physical copies and this year it might be difficult to buy them. I don't see why would she not get it, but it's not on lock either I guess. Depends who she releases "against" that week.

Well, Gaga comes from 5 #1 albums and has a strong fanbase so it should be a given if there’s no competition that week

I think someone pointed out this is not true - she's a pure seller yes, and even probably stronger than others on physicals (hence the different physical editions - playing to her strengths) but I think it only accounts for a very small portion of her debut weeks. Like 5-3% of the overall number is physical

You're wrong.

Of A Star Is Born’s 231,000 units, most come from album [pure] sales: 162,000. The rest of the units are comprised of SEA [streaming] units totaling 37,000, and TEA units equaling 32,000.

Of A Star Is Born’s first-week sales of 162,000 copies, digital downloads of the album totaled 118,000, while 42,000 were on CD and 2,000 were on vinyl LP
