When you throw in a tenor like Andrea Bocelli, Celine will almost always win against Gaga. Celine's a lyric soprano and will contrast better against a tenor. Gaga's timbre is darker and more mature.

It's funny because that's precisely why I liked Gaga's part. The dark timbre is a nice contrast and has more core to the sound.

I've only heard it once so what you're saying may be true for this song but in general Gaga has excellent control over her vibrato :vegas:

You're not supposed to micromanage it anyway. In natural classical singing, you let a fast vibrato happen. You can do straight tone and then let vibrato come on like in Shallow's bridge but I've seen her do a slow vibrato too which suggests she can do it a few different ways.

I think she was nervous. She was off-tempo for a bit. That combined with being just a casual performance, I think she didn't really bother to put too much effort into shaping. Celine, on the other hand, can do all that with The Prayer on any day of the week lol.

OK so If we are gonna be realistically delusional, I think there's a chance of a McCartney/Elton collab performance. That's the only thing I'm putting hopes in. Stupid Love is OUT (like everywhere else)

Stare at the Chartster in the mirror they talk to me too. #StreamFunTonight

A dark timbre is usually easier on the ears because it blends with the male voice. However, if you enjoy the contrast between a soprano and a tenor (like me), it doesn't work quite as well.

2,68% drop on iTunes US :vegas:

More like 26.8% please. 2.68% is the drop in lead, not the drop in sales. :enigma:

Gaga when she picked out the song for global:
"Let's find the shortest song in history that fits with the event" :poot:

Hopefully SL goes #1 so that I can teach some math on percentages again when it decreases.

little legend

How you can say that the smile performance was just cute or she was a little off?

I dont know, it sounded to me great. I mean really great. Her vocals were groundbreaking!!

The only thing i dont like is how she planned all the event and she will only sing for 2 mins:grr:
