I bet I'll ged 4 LMAOs and 12 sads for saying this but in my opinion Ava has already showed potential to have better pop songs than Katy did. IMO Katy's best songs are the ballads that aren't fillers, but her pop songs are nothing super special for me, specially looking it from the perspective we have now. I enjoy her music but it's nothing groundbreaking nor does it have an incredible level of quality. Torn is better than any KP song period

And what else can she do? more acoustic-like music, she's showed a lot of times that she's good at that. Actually my favourite "album" of hers is that MTV Unplugged acoustic one, which has some interesting versions. I wish she went back to that style instead of keeping on doing the same formula that we all have seen it doesn't work anymore

TLDR: I was a huge fan of her but I am not interested in her that much for whatever reason if she keeps on doing the same, maybe if she did music like this on Thinking Of You I'd restan

I remember someone saying that Katy Perry, even in 2013, didn't seem to want to make pop songs anymore. She wants to make Roars and Fireworks and change the life of little kids instead of being a sexy doll. Maybe that was actually true and she just made her later songs pop songs because her label wanted that

Going back to the Katy topic, to think this is a preview of the direction in which her second album was supposed to go, before switching to the TD sound blows my mind. I love this song but yeah if her 2nd album sounded like this it would have flopped

Hopefully Chromatica will be in a much better place with two promo singles and rain on me to back up the release 

Gaga will be fine when it comes to album sales. I expected the worst for Joanne but she still pulled through with 200k+. And that was before the Superbowl. She’s in a much much better place than Katy. Chromatica would’ve been fine with the original plan as ROM would drop before the album anyway. However, the timing was unfortunate as corona would be the only thing people could think about. So May looks better in the end (except for the leaks of course).

I saw an old tweet from May 2019 saying 'a song about love will be released just as a promo buzz, and then two weeks later a song beginning with B will serve as the lead' 

So her team were always going to treat stupid love like an unwashed pair of underpants but having Babylon as the real lead?
