This is unrelated to what Trump tweeted, but I think it needs to be brought up.

COVID-19 is dangerous, and can claim lives but so can isolation paired with the anxiety of losing your employment.
 

Mental health and suicide risks are going to skyrocket, and mental illness quietly claims 45,000 lives a year on average- under normal circumstances without a pandemic, mandated isolation, and imminently subsequent recession. 

A 2019 study by a private non-profit called National Bureau of Economic Research says there is a direct causal link between worker's wages and suicide rates. 

COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere. We have to figure out a way to protect the vulnerable and at risk and realize the survival rates for those that don’t have underlying issues are negligible to the common flu or better. 

I am not defending Trump when I say that it’s hypocritical to ridicule him for ignoring statistical and scientific data when it’s also being done by those advocating for a prolonged shutdown of society. 

Suicide may be our next pandemic. Our artists and distractions are being replaced with all of this awareness of reality and for a lot of people, reality sucked before social distancing.

Hes basically saying to the civilians to rise up and "free themselves from this lockdown" and to use their guns if they need to use them or smth like that? 2nd amendment says something about the governement not being able to take away your weapons

Yesterday, it sounded like the plan was to have some states in phase 1 on May 1. Minnesota has a Stay at Home order until May 4.  Today it sounds like someone got to Trump and he wants phase 3 in 3 states today.   Trump never misses an opportunity to drive a wedge, even when he abandons his own program that he just announced yesterday.  

 

The stay at home order is because there was/is so much flu-like illness (undiagnosed covid-19) that Minnesota could not contact trace all of it. Minnesota does not have enough tests to test everyone that is sick or exposed. 

The Minnesota guidelines still do not include testing anyone under the age of 65 unless they have underlying health issues or are in hospital or work in healthcare. This I find disturbing because we all know the infections are badly under-reported. But by how much really.

 

Edit: Hoping guidelines change as new additional  testing capabilities are used.

Hi Rio, civil unrest is a nice way of saying rioting, protesting, civil disobedience, and basically rebelling against your government short of civil war, but it could be a close thing if handled poorly.  An amendment is a law under the Bill of Rights (first ten amendments of the US Constitution) that clearly lay out the rights of US citizens. The 2nd Amendment is referenced as the right to bear arms or guns.

This story is basically the President of the United States calling for civil unrest against governors of the states he mentioned.  It's like your leader calling for anarchy.

There is such a cultural expectation to go to work sick, that some people still deny that sick people should stay home. We all were expected to go to work sick, just work through it. Many companies did not pay sick days. This whole concept of staying home is a big mind altering experience for some business people that ran companies that did not pay sick leave.

Then we have the religious zealots with a death wish. If the Lord chooses them to get the virus and die, then it was God's will. Praise Lord, God is great. Amen. These people love Trump and pray out loud (wink wink) with and to him every chance they get.

These "unpaid sick leave business people" and the "it's God's will" religious zealots are in Trump's voting base.  

Don't come for me, I'm not in either of these 2 groups.

I scrolled past it so it might not be totally accurate but United got a $58 billion bailout and then proceeded to layoff its workers without pay.
