She has said questionable things throughout her whole career.

Now, I'm not one to judge a person's appearance by any means, cuz everyones beautiful in their own way cuz God makes no mistakes  but the one guy in the video (Sam) lived in some foreign country for a while and was dating some guy who would not rank anywhere near as high as Sam when it comes to textbook definitions for being attractive. Good body, sure, but maybe I'm in the minority but I could give two shts how nice someone's body is or how phat their ass is, if their face looks like a foot (not saying the guy looked like a foot). 

I've followed Sam for a while because he's a snack, but he frequently posts pics and stories with tons of "average" or below average looking people, which I think makes it come off as him not being a snob. I know he frequently gets made fun of on his channel for how feminine he sounds (which in the grands scheme of things, if you look like that who gives a flying fck how you sound), so he's not without his own personal critiques from the world.

Madonna is credited on vast majority of her music as a contributing song writer. Now obviously unless one was sitting in the room with her as she wrote it, the published contributers for the songs are all we have to go on. 

That being said, Madonna is a fantastic performer who has always put on amazing, highly artistic visual experiences for her tours. That is a fact. 

In regards to what Gaga said in the Same Lowe interview, I'm not sure her is simply worded it wrong, or was uninformed, but I think she more or less meant that Madonna's focus has always sort of been on performing versus the traditional "sitting in a room and writing music and playing instruments and creating beats and melodies, etc". I can't speak to the validity of those claims but I think that's what she meant. 

Now the reality? Madonna is a great performer, and so if Gaga. Gaga quote obviously is a much better vocalist. Both are good song writers, but Madonna has also been more consistent with her tours than Gaga has. They both have their own strengths and weaknesses.
