PinkJelly 1,819
Captain Tom Moore, 99-year-old war veteran who is walking 100 laps of his garden before he turns 100 has raised more than £10m for the NHS. He originally wanted to raise £1,000 for NHS Charities Together by completing laps of his garden. But he has now topped 10,000 times his initial target thanks to donations from nearly 500,000 people online. U.K. Health Secretary Matt Hancock earlier thanked Mr Moore for his efforts and said he was "an inspiration to us all" during the daily Coronavirus conference. I think this gentleman is a huge inspiration, and there are calls for him to be made an honorary ‘Major’ or even Sir. Tom Moore for his fundraising efforts! Please do donate if you can, and if you’re based in the U.K. and a taxpayer, selecting ‘Gift Aid’ will add a further 20% onto your donation Edit - 8AM GMT - Now raised over £12M
