andy 106
Obama was going to endorse whoever was the last one standing. Once Bernie dropped, everyone knew Biden was the guy. If Obama really thought Biden is the best then he would have endorsed earlier. #MalibuGaga

Othon 34,299
God, the ahistorical, disingenuous horsesh*t I'm reading in here is infuriating. Obama intervened behind the scenes WHILE BERNIE WAS STILL THE FRONTRUNNER. Explicitly to stop him. While MSNBC and CNN begged the party to do something to stop him. He didn't step in at the last second to help sweep Bernie out the door after he'd already lost; he helped to orchestrate the Buttigieg, Klobuchar and O'Rourke endorsement and signaled to the rest of the party that they should get behind Biden to prevent Sanders from gaining the nomination. This primary was far and away more brazenly rigged than 2016. By a mile. The naked corruption in Iowa, the fact that a candidate that had more delegates than Biden dropped out and endorsed him for the express purpose of preventing Sanders from getting the delegate lead he was expected to get on Super Tuesday, the fact that the DNC threatened states after Super Tuesday to continue holding primaries in the middle of a global pandemic (which drastically reduced turnout, helping Biden), the fact that CNN alone was three times more negative in their coverage of Sanders after he won the popular vote in Iowa, New Hampshire and Nevada, the fact that the entirety of the democratic establishment aligned behind Biden after Sanders became the first person in the history of the country to win the popular vote in the first three primary states, the fact that the party was openly threatening to take the nomination away from him if he went into the convention with a plurality of delegates. What we saw in this primary was an unprecedented consolidation of the capitalist wing of the Democratic Party (with the help of a former president and the press) to prevent a single, social democratic candidate from gaining the nomination. That is not up for debate. That is, flat out, what happened in 2020. Any attempt at crafting a postmortem on the Sanders campaign without acknowledging that fact is embarrassingly, intentionally incomplete.

It's not up for debate, whether you'd like to dismiss them by ridiculously deeming them "conspiracies" or not. Spend five seconds googling. And hell yes Bernie made mistakes. He should have gone after Biden's jugular. Bring up the fact that Biden has a literal rape accusation leveled against him, bring up the fact that Biden had run for president multiple times prior and lost them all by a mile, hammer Biden for giving a eulogy for a segregationist, talk about the jobs he killed, anything but the "my friend Joe" bullsh*t he pulled over and over again. He should've drawn a parallel between Biden and Clinton to hammer home an electability argument. I have plenty of criticism to level at Bernie and his campaign, but it is an absolute fact that the party intervened to stop him from getting the nomination when he was far and away the frontrunner. ALGAYDO 35,220
@OG Gaga Stan sis don’t even bother. They hate the idea of the government helping those who are struggling so much that they’re willing to risk another 4 years of Trump lol nothing you say will make them admit their true intentions. Politics is basically a sport for them, and they obviously want their team (corporate democrats) to win against our team (progressive democrats). Just let them be at this point lol

Ok, you're probably right about Iowa, but the rest is literally politics. Most of what you said happened to Trump in '16 yet he was able to secure the nomination. Plus the states he lost after super tuesday weren't favorable to him in the first place. He lost Washington & Michigan, but turnout was about the same or higher. I voted for him on super tuesday, but he is ahead of his time... Spyro the Dragon

ALGAYDO 35,220
Just now, Spyro said: I voted for bernie in super tuesday tho.... I wasn’t talking about your cute little purple dragon ass. I was about about the group of members who are hell bent of painting Bernie and his supporters of being stupid and evil for wanting socialist-leaning policies to be implemented lol it’s the same group of 4/5 members that like the status quo because they benefit from it. But like I said, it’s all irrelevant and doesn’t really matter in the big picture so
