littlepotter 76,610
I feel so bad for Bernie. Being forced to support someone he doesn't agree with and who could be a potential rapist, being forced to support a system that has worked tirelessly since day one to ensure he does not get the nomination, just so yall don't keep a fascist in office. chaeri pls

See how dumb this take is? Can we end it please? No, when he's correct. Bernie knows that his supporters are mostly weirdly loyal to him and will recognize the need to get Trump out of office, whatever means necessary. He knew that if he did not endorse Biden that it would only further divide the DNC and Democratic party, potentially having a lot of people do a third-party vote which would be more detrimental to the DNC than to the GOP. See how dumb this take is? Can we end it please? I mean, is that not also true? Not voting (for either party) doesn't directly help in a candidate's election, but it indirectly helps them by not exercising your right to vote for the other party. I 100% agree with Bernie here. Look, when Bernie was in the lead, we all said "the centrists need to fall in line". I was like, "if centrists can say that about Biden, we can say that about Bernie", but we're past that now. LaLuna 12,732
Once again, Americans will be presented with two terrible options. This is 2016 all over again. America is so f*cked

Anyway, Bernie actually knows that his supporters like him bc of his policies and the trust he has to fight on them. What he + progressives actually know is that the media will attack him for not endorsing Biden, but they’re stupid bc his supporters are more inclined to think for themselves and not what cable news tells them. - My actual point is that statement is pointless to make. The problem is Liberals are acting like it’s not true the other way around when they push that talking point. CommonWhiteGirl 1,039
Ugh this whole election cycle is a crapshoot like 2016 but it actually astounds me that people would rather have another 4 years of trump as president rather than Biden. Is Biden the best candidate we could've come up with? No. Is he a better option than trump? 100000000X Yes The funny thing about all of this is that Bernie could've still had a major chance at the nomination if the younger people who were raving about him on Twitter actually left their houses to vote for him in the primaries. Yes the DNC is a terrible organization that's honestly no better than the GOP, but if there was ever a year to vote 3rd party, this is NOT the year. Not with trump on the ticket. It honestly just baffles me that people don't understand that another 4 years of trump would be an absolute disaster of unprecedented proportions. Look at all the sh*t he's done in 4 years already! I'm a die hard Bernie supporter but I'm voting for Biden come November cause it's the only way to get trump out of the white house. If y'all actually want change in this country maybe go out a vote for the candidate you want the first time around.

It needs to end bc it’s not the time for clownery @weed @M Monstre Again, it's true though. Not voting for Biden is sure, not a vote for Turmp, you're not actively helping to remove him out of office either. The same goes for not voting for Trump. This is beyond Trump vs. Biden, it's just a matter of fact. Whether you agree or disagree with Biden doesn't negate the fact that not voting for him could help re-elect Trump. And like I've stated previously, I think it is imperative that we vote for Biden. Not because we agree with him, but the reality we're facing unfortunately doesn't have Bernie as an option for president. As much as I loved and supported Bernie, we just cannot stand 4 more years of Trump. As Democrats, our common enemy is Trump. We can have disagreements on what policies are best, but that doesn't change the fact that we need Trump out of the White House. And let me be clear (lol I just noticed I sounded like Bernie there ), I'm still a progressive. I still believe in and want progressive legislation. I feel like now that Bernie's out of the race, me "defending" Biden will make people be like, "Oh, so you were never really supporting Bernie anyway!". I voted for Bernie in the primaries, I donated, I support what he believes in, but he's not our nominee. Now is not the time to get into philosophical arguments between Democrats. Now is the time to unite as much as we can to defeat Trump. Bernie himself said that his #1 goal was to get Trump out. We need to make that happen. KleinGa 18,177
Doesn't matter. He half assed his support for Hillary in 2016 just so she doesn't win so he can have another chance in 2020. Looks like that plan failed. His support for Biden will be worthless

If y'all actually want change in this country maybe go out a vote for the candidate you want the first time around. I agree 1000% with this. What angers me the most is that it seems like many young people didn't care to come out and vote. My generation always seems to be on Twitter talking about how important it is to vote, how amazing Bernie's policies are, spreading the word about important social issues, etc., but I guess it's all for show. The voter turnout for younger people was actually lower than last time! If y'all want change, go out and actually give a **** instead of sitting at home and preaching about "being proactive" on Twitter. Practice what you preach. It's even more annoying because Bernie clearly has the support. He had the most diverse coalition and has had tens of millions of dollars donated to him by grassroots supporters. Not by billionaires or Super PACs. People just needed to mobilize! 𝔗𝔥𝔢 𝔪𝔬𝔫𝔰𝔱𝔢𝔯 𝔱𝔬𝔯𝔢 𝔞𝔴𝔞𝔶 𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔪𝔞𝔰𝔨 𝔞𝔫𝔡...𝔦𝔱𝔰 𝔣𝔞𝔠𝔢 𝔴𝔞𝔰 𝔪𝔦𝔫𝔢.
