That hasn't really happened to me since high school. I feel like if you judge someone's music taste as an adult you're the weird one. Like that's rude and weird as hell :triggered: like who are you

JINNOCIDE

I was so shy in my early teenager years that nobody knew my musical taste. Once my dad got me listening to "To Cool" from the Camp Rock movie and I was DEVASTATED (but he didn't make a big deal of it).

Oh my cousins were so much into rock n' roll so pop music were considered basic and tasteless. I told them I liked one Britney song (probably Toxic) and they were like "hm." :laughga:

Once an old friend of mine asked if I was into Gaga... I kept brave and said "yes". He paused for a second then asked: "...are u a f*g?"

After that no one questioned my musical taste and I don't question either. Judge someone based on what they hear is dumb as hell

Does anyone feel like almost every person who’s solely a rap/hip hop/rnb fan almost ALWAYS makes it a point to shame other genres?

Whether it’s a straight man who likes his rappers, or a gay man who insists he’s “masculine and not like other gays”, they seemingly always put down others who like different music. It could be playing in a car and a club, and they will act like it’s the end of the world.

I know I’m generalizing, but with many years of experience with such, it almost feels like it.

I’ve found metal fans to be the worst by far

reality’s tight if the music is right

doesn't really affect me but it's a pretty lame and pretentious attempt to stir the pot and doesn't really add anything to the discussion

but if cringing makes u feel better about yourself, cringe away queen! :billie:

I don’t think you know what pretentious means, but I absolutely will continue cringing at cringeworthy material.  :billie:
