They can't, since they are linked to the UN, say "China is lying, their numbers are fake...". It is d*mb af and would create too much instability in the world. Everybody (especially intelligence services) knows the numbers are fake, we just can't say it out loud. A war right now would be catastrophic. Also, Trump is just trying to save himself. He knows damn well what he didn't do back in february. He doesn't care about the 600k Americans that are sick and all the dead people. In january, WHO warned US that they could be hit hard by the virus if they didn't take any measures, Trump : it's okay we control everything. February, the epidemic starts to become a pandemic, Trump : "it's just a flu, why should we care about that while people die from influenza every year" (saying this while scientits were all warning that it was NOT a flu). March, WHO says that we have to test a lot to fight the virus and that it is officially a pandemic, Trump : democrats and media are making this little virus a big deal in order to make me lose the reelection. 2 weeks later, a dozen of housands of deaths later and a million new cases later, he finally declares emergency. He is clearly also responsible for what is happening in his country and if he wants to condamn the people that did not take this crisis seriously enough, then we'll also have to condamn him.
