Bernie endorsing Biden will still never be good enough for some people around here though.

And if the Senate still ends up with a Republican majority, then Trump gets to appoint more Supreme Court judges and make the court even more conservative. Goodbye, Roe v. Wade. Goodbye, marriage equality. Moreover, the environment will be even further f*cked, we'll still have kids in cages, and if we have another global pandemic, then we'll really be screwed (of course, the next president will still be dealing with covid-19).  I am not willing to take such a risk.

I'm not Biden fan, but I'm not about to let this country be further wrecked.

How can you even talk about kids in cages when Obama and Biden are the reason the cages were there in the first place? Biden’s plan on climate is no better than Trumps no-plan.

And all the more reason to stop shaming Bernie voters for not voting for Biden and at least getting them to vote down ballot to save the senate. Maybe that’s more preferable than pissing them off so they either stay home or vote for trump and you lose senate, presidency and maybe even the House. Maybe sometimes people with your POV should compromise instead of demanding conformity from people like me?

Biden has a bigger shot than Bernie. That's why he got the votes in this primary.

However, I agree that it will be a difficult race.

I don't know about that

I do think a Centrist to Centre-Left candidate has a better shot of winning than someone as left as Bernie that is too hard for centrists and moderates to swallow

But Biden is so unexiting, low energy, no major vision to excite people, has allegations that could work against him etc

Pete or Amy could of been better Centrists than Biden for the general race tbh

Trump platform is better? :fail:Do you like to see children in cages, discriminatory legislation, the total end of obamacare, a republican controlled supreme court for the next 30 years? :excuseu:

People can do what they want, but only the stupid ones cant see the huge differences between Trump and Biden platforms, even if they dont get what they want.

Obama put kids in cages, his policies discriminated against the working class, obamacare isn’t the best people can do, and we really can say thanks Obama for said 30years of republican SC control.

The only huge difference between Trump and Biden is that one pretends to care about cultural left issues, and the other doesn’t. Neither will fight for it. That’s the huge similarity.

How much more evil is America going to get? Bush was a nightmare and now Trump makes him look tame. Let’s recognize the pattern and not support another moderate Dem (who haven’t won’t since the 90s) who serve lesser evil teas.

If Bernie couldn't get enough votes to win the nomination, he'd never get the votes to beat Trump

The primary electorate skews much older than a general election. Bernie has always had an electoral weakness in the primaries because he doesn’t appeal to older voters, especially southern voters (black or not). Bernie has always performed the best in the West and in the New England/Midwest. All of which contain electoral rich states and important swing states. Add Bernie’s strength with Latinos and there’s absolutely no way Bernie would lose to Trump in a general election but when you get single digit support from people over 65 in a democratic primary where the electorate is a majority over the age of 50, he would never win a primary.

Lion Heart

I swear if Trump appoints some far-right winger to take Ginsburg's seat.. :fail:

Progressive values will be gone for a generation. I dont even want to think about what types of cases Republicans will send to the Supreme Court so they can get the ruling they want.

Ok. No common ground here. Believe what you want.

The difference is people like you have got your way for how many elections now? A relationship is a 2 way street. If you always push for something your way and expect someone to always get in line you’re going to meet resistance at some point. Maybe you should reflect on why progressives would do what moderates want after more than 40 years of not getting what we want.

Ok it’s kind of funny how people called Bernie supporters a cult yet some will NOT do what the “cult leader” says :rip:

They will not vote for Biden.

Also, no, if you look at head to heads, Bernie could always have beaten, and was ahead of Biden in some polls. Plus, progressive “hope and change” Obama won in 2008 thanks to progressives AND moderates. Hillary and Joe only have moderates. Moderates never have a better shot.

Biden got the votes bc the media told the dem voters that he’s the safe choice. He never was. Opinion polls show everyone likes Bernie’s platform better. Dems chances are rocky in a world that makes sense, but w this virus, maybe it’s not so smart to say anything is gonna happen for sure...

I didn't demand conformity of you. Please vote for whomever you'd like, or don't vote at all.  I was talking about why  don't want Trump to win another election even though I'm not a Biden fan. There is no you in my post, unlike in yours, in which you ask me to compromise, when I never asked that of you. For the record, I voted for Bernie in both the 2016 and 2020 primaries.

I'm aware of Obama's role re: kids in cages, and all of the other issues with his presidency (he was far from perfect), but I am hopeful that this round Biden, especially with a more progressive VP, would address this issue. Maybe he won't, but there's at least a possibility he will, unlike with Trump.

Also, as a woman, I'm not risking Roe v. Wade.

Trust me, I loathe Biden and wish the nominee were anyone but him. I'd even take Hillary over him. I am not in the pro-Biden camp at all, and when I vote in November, it will be a vote against Trump, not a vote for creepy Uncle Joe.

How you vote isn't my business.

Neglected in what way. I specifically said southern voters bc black voters aren’t a monolith. Black voters under 50  generally preferred Bernie or was at least competitive. Black voters also varied from state to state with regard to support. Maybe you should stop talking about African Americans as if they’re all the same, all have the same needs, etcs.
