Honestly if you haven’t made peace with a postponement/cancellation of the Chromatica Ball, you needed this heavy dosage of reality.

And that's one concert. There's 6 dates for the Cromatica Ball so that's 7,200 Lady Gaga fans dying

Obviously there's a lot of moving parts but just taking the numbers at face value (I also don't know how many tickets are available for each show) that's not acceptable numbers.

I think at this point we’re likely looking at flat out cancellation seeing as trying to estimate when large gatherings may be possible again in order to schedule new dates is going to be really tricky.

Postponing to a second set of dates that also may not even happen would be even more disappointing. Not to mention that there are people in financial stress that they couldn’t have imagined just a few months ago who could no doubt really use the money back right now.

I will not say it‘s impossible that it will last until fall 2021 but at this stage it is pessimistic.

All doctors and virologist all over the world say different things, about vaccinations, about the use of masks, etc. Doesn‘t mean that he studied that that he is 100% right.

There are chances vaccination is ready sooner then we think. Yes they have to pass tests and different stades but it is a fact that virologists said that it can come early 2021. It‘s one word of a doctor against another. So, we give benefit of the doubt = let‘s stay optimistic

I agree. I mean, if it really is until fall next year then so be it. Lives are more important then a concert.

But still, we should all stay positive, maybe everything ends sooner then we think. Not only because of the Chromatica Ball but also as sooner this ends less people die

Last I heard about a vaccine was Canada on the verge of one and Spain on the verge of a viable treatment that took hospitalizations from a couple weeks to a couple days.

And that was like a month ago

I think it'll be a while before normalcy is reestablished but I don't think it'll take over a year for us to start overcoming this.

tbh i think an effective virus will be found with unprecedented speed thanks to all fundraising and global pressure. production will also be incredibly quick  

however, I think when the vaccine comes we will see a lot of fallout over how it’s distributed. Obviously, 1st world countries have the power and resources to get them first, and the developing world may be hard hit with corona for quite a while.

Yes I agree, the last big news concerning that were some time ago 

But the fact that I know specialist work day and night to find a cure gives me hope. It‘s a global problem, so I am sure the priority is in the vaccination/cure!

Honestly you’re right. hypocritically, I haven’t even made peace with a cancellation, thought it seemed like it was off the table considering how Gaga kept mentioning it despite the pandemic. but this is pretty likely seeing as they don’t even have an idea as to what direction they’re going with for the tour (Richy said this). either way, won’t be surprised if she does or doesn’t cancel it, either scenarios seem plausible

Sadly that last part will probably be true.
 

I hope humans learn from this and Gaga‘s kindness message isn‘t wrong at all atm. I wish the world will learn from this, that we are stronger together. But well, humanity seems like to forget really quickly

mortality rates are not raw figures showing how many people will die. 

they operate like any other statistical probability. they are a % of a % of a %. In a large crowd, there’s a ~87% chance you’ll contract corona. If you do contract corona there’s a ~4% chance of it being serious. If it is serious there’s a roughly ~1.8% chance of you dying. 

Obviously not trying to downplay it, but I am trying to ease the collective anxieties a “2% mortality rate” may cause.
