ThisGuyTony 30,626
Born This Way - It came out in the summer before my junior and senior year of high school and it was my most played album that summer. I think the message of being yourself and being unafraid of who you are spoke to me as I hadn’t even come out yet. So when people did ask me during senior year about my sexuality I wasn’t afraid to tell them I had an interest in guys.
nickkoko 922
For me it's a toss-up between Born This Way and ARTPOP. Both were released while I was in high school, which was a very difficult time for me; being gay in a small town and going to a catholic school. I would seriously play BTW all day long and it was so therapeutic for me. A lot of the messages really spoke to me then and helped me get through the bullying and harassment I faced each day. It's also the album that got my parents into Gaga. As for ARTPOP, it was a very similar situation, but to a lesser extent. Still, this album was constantly playing in 2013/2014 and it still sounds great today imo. That said, I'm extremely excited to see what Chromatica is like. I don't want to over-hype, but I think it has the potential to take that spot as the most meaningful album to me.
sarcamstic 1,592
Joanne. The album & era both have amazing memories attached to it for me. It was released my freshman year of high school and helped me up to now, my senior year. Plus, I saw the JWT with my grandma so that was genuinely unforgettable, we’re hoping she comes back to Cleveland again so we can see her together once more. flying like 1000 birds

half psychotic 79
Its The Fame for me. I was a loser in high school, had zero friends and always felt lonely. I remember hearing Just Dance and Paparazzi during my junior year on the school bus and being hooked. I'd listen to the album every single day while sitting alone in empty classrooms during lunch, or hiding out in bathrooms during classes or sitting on the staircase by myself before and after school while waiting for the bell to ring or the bus to come. That album just made me feel so free and happy and less alone. Gaga was really misunderstood by the general public and I felt like I could relate to her and her music because of that. It (and then TFM when it came out) really helped me get through my junior and senior year of high school and helped with my depression.
