And since you mention it, I actually think she might do a cover.

vanus 6,083
Why is gaga singing her old music ok biut singing something new not ok? Would her singing bad romance be considered as entertaiment but singing new song a promotion? Do you consider gaga singing her own music promotion anyway since shes basically promoting herself? Do you think gaga singing a new song would be considered bad even if she doesnt release the song yet ( aka itunes festival) and album is not out and we dont know when its coming? Probably most of the artist performing would be singing their latest songs and would that be considered a promotion even if its literally a music event made to entertain people and people will watch bcs they expect to see those people perform their stuff?? just some questions, discuss imma cut a bitch

brucee 1,690
If it's done well I think she can do whatever she wants. If she doesn't make her set revolving around new material, it's ok. Like when she sang edge of glory for the first time. I think the girl will always try to be sensitive. Idk I don't see her making a bad step since the era started. hello hello baby. Gaga curated the whole show. Maybe the idea of the whole thing came from her. So, if she decides to turn her performance to a promotion slot of a new song (in support of her new album), then doesn’t that cast doubt on the intention of the show? Even if she didn’t mean it, it might appear that she contrived this huge event to create a platform to shove her new song down people’s throats. It’s not a cute look. I suppose the core reason for me is that when you perform for this concert, you perform to show solidarity You perform to tell people in a simple and gentle way, hey I’m present and here for this You don’t make it about you or draw much attention to yourself. It’s not your show. So you don’t release a brand new whatever What’s the difference between performing, say, Bad Romance vs. performing Free Woman? I wouldn’t call performing BR as “promotion” in the sense as promoting material for people to buy, as we commonly use the word. She doesn’t need to promote BR. Most people know it. It has a billion views on YouTube. There are kids in middle school who probably weren’t even born yet when BR was released. So, it’s a signature Lady Gaga song. When you want to show the world you’re there, you’re present, you’re in solidarity with an event, you can sing your signature song and not draw too much attention to you by singing what people would expect. stupidrain71 1,459
I’m just glad that she’ll be there and perform. I don’t expect anything more than that. She’s done so much for this event to happen.
