I think it's not insensitive if she pulls out something like this:

An acoustic piano performance of a future promotional single amidst her old hits, then people would react to it more like a cute lil surprise.

Changing the subject a little, I see some of you guys mentioning Enigma and I know it's a joke, but for the sake of the way that you love and treat your mother monster, do not expect her do to perform more than an acoustic set or some fun karaoke to her own songs. It would be really hypocritical if she pulled out a big production with dancers and band.

Because of a few things:

Dua's album leaked and she was forced to release. 

Late Night shows aren't a charity function. 

And lastly, Dua did not throw together an entire show in celebration of frontline essential workers. 

Gaga was essential in creation of this show. If she debuts anything, it would be seen as a selfish exploitation. Especially since it's a global event. 

This is different than just a show. It's a reward. The entire show has Gaga's hand in it. If she debuted ANYTHING inside the show itself, she would deserve the public dragging to follow.

Because it's literally self-explanatory...... You don't use a worldwide pandemic for promo purposes, is it that hard to understand?

she's using a concert organised as a result of the pandemic to perform a new song

it wouldn't necessarily be for promo purposes, she might just want to share a new song with the fans. if people see that as 'exploitation' or whatever that's their choice but the fact that with artists all people seem to think is 'promo' and 'charts' is kinda annoying. maybe she wants to perform a new song? she is a musician after all...

People will jump to conclusions. It doesn't matter that she helped gather what? $90Mill? For charity. People will only see the bad, and see it as a ploy. 

Also, the entire world isn't her fans. There is more to the world than us and what we want. Everyone needs to realize that. 

If Gaga manages to release a song before the event, yes, she can perform it. 

But since she is the major hand in creation of this event, she can't be debuting anything at the event because it would be callous. 

Like it's not a subtle thing. 

Creator of show? Debuting new single?

The entire show would be seen as a sham.

Your problem is that you're having a hard time understanding that this event isn't about her, it shouldn't be about her, and she doesn't want to make it about her.

the event isn't necessarily about the virus. it's a concert as a result of the money raised for the virus. so you're saying a musical performance isn't about the music? when she's literally told us to lay back and enjoy the show? you have a hard time understanding that just because the concert is about the virus, it has to be ONLY about the virus, when that clearly isn't gaga's intention. gaga's intention seems to be to create a distraction for us all.
