ShayCristoforo 10,607
She really hasn't abandoned Chromatica, she's completely elevated this era. Gaga is raising a HUGE amount of relief money while other celebrities are singing Imagine off-key. Her efforts are gaining enormous traction and media attention. So by the time Chromatica comes out, she will have earned the utmost respect from everyone, and the entire world will have no other choice but to stan. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time. I know this should not be about her image and the attention is on those in need, but honestly, this is the perfect opportunity to show the world what's really important to her and it's a perfect way to make people understand her vision behind Chromatica as well.. It's a shame these big corps seem to need something with such positive press potential in order to motivate them to use their millions to help, but if that's what it takes then I'm glad Gaga is spearheading that. It's so brilliant to have so many on board because then anyone that is asked doesn't want to appear to be the ones that said no to such a good cause. So much better than asking the public to donate. What she's doing is monumental. I know it's a joke/meme but the whole "Gaga literally went to corporations and rich people and said OPEN YOUR PURSE" is really definitive of not just her power and privilege, but also of her heart and soul in utilizing it for the good of literally everybody. Asking the public to donate for the benefit of the public is one thing- demanding (essentially) from large scale corporations for the benefit of the public is another. She's putting pressure on their public reputations in order to give back to those in need. Will these corporations probably come out of this with money intact, due to policies holding precedent (wrt tax breaks, etc)? Probably. But she's set an incredible example so far in at least attempts to redistribute resources back to people. I agree that what she is doing is monumental, if not historic. Depending on how this all ends up, I hope to see this in history books in the future. 3 points in and ready for more
