People then said what Gaga is doing is amazing by getting corporations to donate, I replied by saying corporations are donating 0.1% of what they stole. I dont see what the issue is.. Hell even Bernie hasn't been able to do it so far. Gaga is doing the best she can in this specific situation as a person and a celebrity and using her huge platform and voice, like she always does. You can hate the system and still appreciate Gaga doing this. You can't for example be mad at Robin Hood saying "oh, but he isn't stealing all the money back!!" You say corporations steal, well then at least it's good that Gaga manages to get at least a part of that 'stolen money' back, using her power. Other people (maybe even Gaga?) can try to change the system later on, but that's something in the long run and what Gaga is doing now is immediate action, because we also need all that money right now. Thank you, finally an actual reply with a real argument, and I kinda agree with you.. Im not talking about corporations in general, im specifically talking about the stimulus bill that will destroy peoples life for decades to come and will allow them to buy the whole country. So yes im extremely upset so its hard for me to see the posivity in this. I said im not attacking Gaga or what shes doing, im just upset at how corporations are using what Gaga is doing to manipulate innocent people while its being framed that they are helping. Gaga has helped cause social change through her work, and has also donated millions upon millions to a various charities spanning a plethora of different issues.
