You have to wonder if Sander's supporters are there for the cult of personality or if they actually support his world view when they are telling Biden supporters to rot in hell

I told a Trump supporter and two users who have spent years blindly attacking Sanders and supporters like myself on this site, grasping onto any credible challenger to his candidacy that came along in an effort to stick it to people that they hated on the internet, to rot in hell (and I'd do it again!) because I've debated these people, attempted to convince them, made my case relentlessly for a year only to be insulted, mocked, and met with bad faith nonsense and disingenuous talking points. Those people are lost causes and they've made that clear a million times over.

I realize that you genuinely (and hilariously) seem to think that "sad" reactions are a form of violence, but those people have been attacking the one candidate that wanted to deliver the same social programs to the United States that every single industrialized country on earth already has, to deliver a climate change plan that could prevent the world from falling apart when we're on the verge of climate catastrophe, to try to save millions of students and sick people from drowning under mountains of debt that they'll never be able to cast off themselves. They trashed that person and those ideas relentlessly; I reacted "sad" to posts that I found especially egregious on a Lady Gaga forum.

The fact that you've felt the need to chime in and chide me and other Sanders supporters like a condescending school-marm for months, the fact that you felt like THAT was how you should spend your time, the fact that "uncouth" behavior inspired you to jump into these conversations rather than the need to push back against these dishonest actors is... "sad." I guess "sad" would be the way I'd describe that reality. :rip:

Thanks for the free rent inside your head. As for treating people as I would want to be treated, that was one post. As such, I was warned for that post and acted accordingly. Thanks for trying to eliminate the credibility of what I said over something completely trivial.

Right, I forgot. To centrists, we're just lazy poor people who want to live off of their hard work. :rip:

I swear to god, these people sound like Republicans 70% of the time they post on here.

It's a shame Sander's lost, but in order to ensure the Supreme Court does not fall further Right, everyone who supporters Sander's vision for America must vote for Biden.

We all have to show up in November.

It’s dedication to policy. Thank you very much.

I'm a fellow Dem who also supported someone who didn't win the nomination, I think that is quite clear

They want someone like Biden who is a better look than the Republicans because it makes them feel good and they can go back to pretending Trump is the root of all evil and continue ignoring the problems they need to be solving regarding the working class.

Its pretty simple, if republicans fill another supreme court seat, you can kiss any chance of a progressive movement in the future goodbye forever, as well as abortion and equality rights, environmental protections, etc. So if you prefer risking all that just to "teach a lesson to the DNC" or something like that, then you didnt follow Bernie for his policies, or his beliefs or because you truly want a progressive movement, as you would know just like he knows, that trump winning would be the death of the progressive movement.

So take a pick, will you vote for Biden or for a republican supreme court?

A vote for Biden is also rewarding the DNC for rigging another election. Telling the DNC that it’s ok to do what they’ve done since 2016. This is one election. Trump winning in 2020 doesn’t destroy the progressive movement but what it will do is to show the neoliberal class their time is over. There’s nothing you can say that is going to convince me to vote for Biden.

I'm with you. After he threatened to slap a man, ignored a soldier, sniffed a baby, said kids love jumping in his lap, called someone a dog faced pony soldier (like.. what?), stayed silent during this pandemic, and is now an accused rapist, i'm not voting for him either.

To any of you who just are absolutely not voting for Biden, at least vote for Democrats at the local level. Remember there are local state races on the ballot.

Local elections are in some ways more important. I think everybody should vote. Totally agree with this. I worked for a county in Washington state for a few years and the elected auditor didn’t have a finance or accounting degree. And she beat a licensed CPA by over 20 pts in the general election. It’s crazy what people get away with in local elections.

stop being delusional, Sanders lost practically every single county in FL

He being unclear about Cuba, Nicaragua, Venezuela and talking non-senses about Bolivia really showed to many people was he was made of...

Alright, add "delusional" to the gas-lighting terms I was talking about. Refrain from demeaning language, please.  Next time, say something like "face the facts" or "stop ignoring reality." We need to start separating ideas from the people who use them.  If you are really trying to change someone's opinion or view, attack that, not the person.  When you demean people, it just arouses their defensive instincts which lead to fights and the substance of the debate diminishes.

Stand in the light, cast your shadow.

Well, if you think thats more important than protecting the Supreme Court of decades of republican control, you do you

Naturally, I never said that.

What I have said many times on this forum, during the entire Democratic primary, is that I voted for Sanders in the last primary, and my intention was to vote for him in this primary. He dropped out before I was able to.

The fact that you continue to think I am not a Sanders supporter, because I do not tell others to "rot in hell" or spam other users with SAD and LMAO reactions, speaks volumes about what it means to be a Sanders supporter on GGD.

I'm okay with my behavior being schoolmarmish. I'm in very good company.
