This is done every day in marketing to shorten long URLs to look cleaner when promoting. I am awaiting a confirmation email to do so, but once I receive it, I can - for FREE - go create "smarturl.it/babylon-single" and set it to redirect to google.com and create a thread on how Babylon is HERE! The stats show nothing! It was created today and the visits ALL came from Twitter or a Gaga fan forum. ANYONE could have created this as long as it did not exist already. Also the title of the url says vinyl collection free woman when you go to buy audio products so that’s kinda strange. Just to be clear, to create a smarturl.it link you have to be a registered "verified" user, if you are not "verified" you can only create a hypeurl... It was slated to be released within a week of the album coming out. From a promo standpoint (and that's where the label etc comes in) it makes zero sense to drop a big collab like nothing when you can (and should) use it to up the hype and numbers for the album.
