It is actually used all over the world and some countries stopped selling it to other countries. Of course there hasn't been enough testing with this, but I'm curious. U will be ok that someone you know to get a placebo as a treatment for covid? Only by doing that, the efficiency of the drug can be proven or not. Who gets to decide who gets the placebo and who the real medicine? I'm no doctor...let the experts test and ratify this medication....the president isn't an authority on this and is clearly pushing a personal agenda ... What if it turns out there are negative effects that could damage a patient and a better treatment was available.... It actually works to some degree, my ex is a nurse, and he told me it is being used for treatment between the 2nd and 5th day of the infection. Its mostly effective as a treatment medicine in the early staged of the covid-19 disease. There are however side effects of the medicine, since it is an antiviral drug, and people in later stages of covid-19 don't really benefit from the drug. ShayCristoforo 10,607
Why do they bother writing regulations for conflict of interest, if they're not gonna apply them. Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

But there are reports of little flexibility of changing treatment even if it didnt work for that person. There are stories that people in x hospital only gave x treatment and so on. The discussion started from the fact that there isnt a confirmation of this drug efficiency. And I pointed out that for that you need tests, including with placebos. I'm not understanding your first part there, would you mind clarifying? And yes, tests are going to be needed to test drug efficiency. However, it is illegal to have patients participate without their consent, at least in the U.S.
