Nahhhhhh, that ain't right. I can recognise forms of racism, sis. My Chinese friend got spat right in her face last month in Cambridge, right in front of me, by a fat greasy white guy who then shouted "CORONA TRAMP!" We both experienced that together, and I was there for her.😔 If this silly comment was referred to me, I think you best review some of my other comments + understand I actually hate the word and don't condone its normalisation or usage in 2020 society. Do a little more reading before twisting people's perspectives or intentions. That comment of yours is deceiving as fuuuu- and incredibly dismissive

Locs are actually apart of African American culture. That is cultural appropriation which the others don’t fall under. The area in which I live in has a very culturally strong abundance of a black community, I’ve been explained on this topic numerous times. You need to stop dragging others down. And educate yourself. That link means nothing to me because I understand what reappropriation is, and I don't like it. It causes social problems and it stops equality progression. Again, the word should be left the past. You do not invite fans on stage (ones who pay money to see you and give you a luxury lifestyle), ask them to sing your song with a derogatory word, and then hound them. It ain't right, it shouldn't happen either way, whether you're white or black. It's disgusting, and so is the word.

Which is for everyone to express creatively hmmm. I don't like the picking and choosing. my little sister got dreadlocks in Egypt last year and I don't see how what she did was ignorant or culturally appropriating. She's 6 and she thought she looked beautiful when she looked in the mirror. She also knew ethnics normally have that hairdo. I don't see how that could ever be a bad thing. That's embracing a culture, and I think it's something to be enjoyed, but for some reason, it has become a defence mechanism for many around the world. Cultural appropriation, in my personal opinion (educate me fairly if If you disagree), is a load of bullshit to maintain division and hold on to an socio-inhibitory type of pride. Why can't people just embrace each other's culture? If I see a black woman strut down the street with a platinum blond straight wig, it would be racist of me to assume that she has no reason to wear that, or the denim Levi's jacket she's wearing? But if a white guy goes to Coachella and wears a dashiki top, it's wrong? Double standards has no place, sorry.

But you still have that one ethnic dude who wears Western clothing brands and absorbs Western culture, yet he gets triggered at some white chick with cornrows + wearing dashiki. And the gag is, he was most likely born in a Western country??? I thought the world got past racism, slavery and xenophobia years ago, but we are stalling/plateauing + have been for the past few years. Not enough is being done to address complex issues like this, and double standards confuse it all.
