I recognise a GP hit when I hear one. The Cure had huge potential. All my non-gay friends LOVED it. When it came on in the straight club chile... The white girls and their boyfriends were bopping! The Cure had every potential to be a wide market hit. Just because a song is commercial doesn't mean it's cheap. Ugly Love is cheap. It was made to become a hit but sounds terrible and uninspired. Her worst lyrics from a lead single and her vocals sound very hoarse and annoying in some parts.

stupid love is good. i love it. the cure sounds like 2015 radio music. it's cute, listen to it once and twice, that's about it. whereas with stupid love, it has way more replay value.

I think it's a bop. I loved it when it came out and still love it to this day. I don't understand why this fan base hates it so much. It's a feel good pop song.
