I found out tonight a dear friend of mine is in the hospital fighting against COVID-19, and not doing too well. Please please take it seriously folks, this virus doesn't discriminate and can impact us in unexpected ways.

i hate to make this political, but I certainly know who to blame for how the US is coming out of this.

This is why this lady is staying inside, having her groceries delivered, and limiting her news intake. 

I took a shower not long ago, and I had the chills and freaked out, then I remember my hair is wet.  Took my temp, and I'm totally fine – however, this panic is a good reminder to stay the fück inside, wash our hands, disinfect surfaces and groceries, and wear masks & gloves if we have to go out (winter gloves are better than nothing). 

@KindnessPunk28, praying for your friend . How scary! I hope they'll make a full and quick recovery.

Quite frankly many people (myself included) didn't take it seriously when it first appeared. Lots of folks just blew it off as an "exaggerated flu" and thought the media/medical professionals were blowing it out of proportion. This lack of awareness resulted in a superbly horrible reaction to the virus. Despite some governors acting quickly, it wasn't quite enough; the damage was already done. We are entering the darkest of times in regards to COVD. But as they say, it's always darkest before dawn. The next month is going to be truly terrifying.

Thank you. I had no idea he had fallen ill. We aren't "best friends" per say, he's a lovely gentleman I always see when I'm out at the local bar. But I happen to see a Facebook update from his husband tonight and I was taken aback.

1. i did read that, but i don't believe it (so far). also i think my comment could be interpreted that i think china is to blame, which is not what i mean. i blame the president 100,000 percent for his sh*t response.

2. i did! i thought it was good. as crazy as the last season got, it pretty much matched pace with how insane US politics has gotten. i think if you watch veep from start to finish, in terms of the craziness, i think it's a pretty good barometer measuring the sudden change the US went through (and continues to go through). i liked the optimism of the last episode the most i think, that after meyer things got better for the US with a splett presidency

It's so crazy that the US alone will have up to 200,000 deaths when there are like 60,000 deaths so far in the whole world. Trump ****ed up big time once again, at the cost of so many lives...
