thebedesign 1,665
I think Stupid Love is just the beginning of what’s to come. I think, besides the kindness talks and all that, this will be a darker era. The cover is dark, it looks like some sort of a portal/machine and the tribes are a part of it. That’s why I think she won’t release it now. Either way, we’re getting fed! It’s not a fedora you ****
geusst1235 5,398
Both the video and the album cover have that 80s/90s Sci-Fi flair, so I would say that they do indeed fit. The peculiar machinery in the album cover also gave me some slight Alien vibes, Also, Stupid Love was explicitly trying to present messages of love and positivity hence the bright visuals, etc. Meanwhile the album cover for Chromatica is representing a plethora of different feelings and ideas that encompass the entirety of a 16-track album, not just the particular messages that a single song gave. S0436 10,215
The pink behind the cage represents the kindness punks and the SL video though
andy232000 9,878
I was very disappointed with the SL visuals because I despise cosplaying and video game aesthetics. Naturally I was very anxious as to how the album was going to look visually. This cover to me is a complete curveball thrown right from the left field. NOTHING about this cover reminds me of SL. It gives me hope that it will be a bit more videogame villain instead of that cliche she was trying before. Its like I dont even know how the album will sound like. I have a feeling SL is not representative of the albums vibe, rather the left one out

Mythos 3,196
It does actually. The first thing i had to think when i saw the cover, was Alien Resurrection, and there is even one picture that looks similar to the cover. So it fits the 90s vibe i got from SL

MAXX 275
Well the cover it's supposed to represent the album as a whole not just Stupid Love. We don't know how the rest of the album sounds.
zerojk 4,851
How does perfect illusion (cover and song) fit with Joanne overall? just saying
ADVENTURE 856
So to me I see the album cover existing inside the world of Chromatica. So like in the SL video the different tribes/gangs are out in the battlefield, working out their differences to create a more united nation. Then in the album cover you see gaga, leader of the kindness punk group almost caught in a metaphorical web in the gritty city of Chomatica where darkness rules. Think the live action Super Mario Brothers. The steam vent could represent that kindness is buried underneath the city. So it exists but is hidden away, just barely shining through. Kindness Punks live in the underground. Which has always been her schtick anyway. Gaga in the image is stuck in between two worlds that she desperately wants to unite. So the cover exists in what I wold imagine is early on in the timeframe of Chromatica. That’s what I get at least lol. Maybe other images will represent different timelines in the album. jorja 1,100
even if it doens't fit, that's fine this song is a part of something way bigger remember, in chromatina no one thing is greater than another
