I mean, I guess different strokes for different folks? But as nice as Betty Who is as a person, her music all sorta sounds the same to me, and doesn't do very much to stand out from her peers (although idk if I'd even consider any of the people mentioned in this thread her peers). 

She's got some decent songs but she needs better producers. And a better vocal style cuz the high whispering thing just isn't working anymore. 

But I'd be happy to discuss Betty with you in another thread or PM so we don't get hollered at.

The Weeknd's new album is extremely overrated, people tend to prefer less loud songs. Future Nostalgia is better. I would totally understand if ELLE put a song from FN as number one, but I'm happy SL got it and I think it is justifiable. Gaga's song isn't the apocalipse like some of you want others to believe.

my point is that people are doing the most with the physical/future nostalgia  praise When it’s literally more of the same 80s throwback pop that we’ve been getting for a decade. My exact critique is that it doesn’t stand out from what’s already been done. Gaga did 80s pop on the fame, Carley Rae has done it, Betty who has done it, Taylor did it with 1989... it’s just tired.

And that's all majority of the people on this thread were doing. Jokingly being catty. 

No one came into the thread saying SL sucked or anything. The song doesn't suck and much of the fanbase enjoys it. 

It's just in regards to the publications ranking, I personally didn't agree based upon my own tastes and opinion of the song.

To like Stupid Love is not the same as to consider it the best song of 2020 so far  you can enjoy Gaga's song, you can love it and dance to it all day long, but still recognise it's far from the #1 best lol no one is hating here

I see no reason as to why some if you constantly feel the need to bring up Dua Lipa whenever Stupid Love is mentioned. It is simply redundant, and brings nothing new to this site aside from repeated negativity from the EXACT same users.
