Britney, Christina, Beyoncé and P!nk. :applause:

But the 80's also had an amazing group of pop divas: Madonna, Cyndi Lauper, Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson. Maybe even Cher and Tina Turner who were still kicking ass.

Late 2000's.... and we'll snatch Ariana cause she is arguably the best of the mid 2010's

Her brother is :rip:

Lmao just cus she works with her brother he has to be the one behind it all right? Even if that were the case, she's a talented singer. Still not true tho.

She might be talented, the Billie/Finneas duo is great. But you can't seriously expect for a 1-year career (yes, ONE even though Ocean Eyes was released 4 years ago) to compare to 10+ years of career in the music business.

Oh I'm not saying she will last as long or be as impactful as the others. But I do think she's shown more talent in the few years she's been around and especially if we compare her to several of the pop girls back when they were her age.

Wow the downgrade was REAL. Maybe it’s the oldie in me talking, but these last two generations really are mediocre and unimpressive compared to the others. We desperately need a new pop girl that will break records and do something different (Billie did this but many here don’t like her, so maybe a pop girl that makes dance pop)

But late 2000s - 2010s was arguably the best for sure. Maybe it’s because I lived it and remember it fully.

Even though the internet wasn't as big and I was very young, looking back it has the be the early/mid 90s when Madonna. Whitney, Mariah, Janet were all in their primes or close to it. Those 4 are all timers.

You forgot to add Celine Dion.

Other honorable mentions are Shania Twain, Toni Braxton (with a stretch), Kylie.

mid 2010s (arguably, the driest):

BeBe Rexha

Charli XCX

Iggy Azalea

Ariana Grande

Megan Trainor

Spoiler

I only like Ms. Grande, but I'm not even a HUUUGE fan of her music.

Celine maybe. Shania didn’t hit hard until mid/late 90’s.  The others are 1990 at latest (Mariah).

Celine's debut on the US charts was 1991 and she made it big in 1994 with her 2nd album.

Enchanting

Gaga x Katy x Ke$ha is my favorite trinity, but Gwen x Nelly x Fergie was my childhood.

That mid 2000s list seems very bland...  And let's not even talk about mid 2010s :billie:

Woow the Power that Beyoncé and Britney had huh? Like they just look so powerful and fearless back then. I see that same fire in Dula peep. Katy and Gaga are close too but they don't have that popstar aura. Gaga is more like eccetric rockstar and Katy is always in between not tomato or potato.

Imagine calling Gaga lackluster as a POPSTAR :billie:

She literally embodied pop during  her debut days except in a more jarring and eccentric manner. She literally changed the image that pop should be about being all nice and pretty with sexy MILF vibe or broken-hearted girl next door picturesque scenario.
