By the time SL was released, 90% of things were already set in stone. I do realise it takes time, but they could afford to postponed, just like they did, right? Nah, I don't think they're waiting for it to be gone, they're probably waiting for the situation to calm down somewhat. Now we're right in the middle of it. I don't know if you were a stan back then, but she was new. She was literally the biggest artist on the planet and she was cool. She can have all the success now, but it's a completely different thing.

During 'The Fame Monster' and 'Born This Way' everybody wanted to know what Gaga's next move was going to be. The film brought a different kind of success to Gaga that cannot be compared to the type of fame and success pop/rock superstars like Madonna, Gaga, Britney had in their prime. We will never see 1 million + debuts from Gaga ever again and those are facts.

Bad decision making, everything leaking, changing singles, weird or lack of promo. Personally, I'd love to be a fly on the wall behind the scenes in the months leading up to her releases. Her leads always leak - it's such an annoyance for her fanbase and her team (I'd imagine).

It's perfoming better than PI and The Cure, i'm just saying its underperforming. It's doing really good in radio right now, so it might serve longevity. not Chromatica 5,393
C'mon now... This roll-out would have been executed flawlessly if it weren't for the global pandemic that struck us.
RRR 3,996
I agree that her rollouts have been historically floppy, especially Born This Way with the second single switcharoo. And ARTPOP rollout was so all over the place it doesn't count. However, I would say that this is a good thing that's going on with Stupid Love. I'm glad she released a song about unity and then immediately a global pandemic happens which forces everyone to unite. It's sort of ironic.

Artists as big as Gaga dont need to promote their albums anymore. Beyonce and Madonna never promote her albums, they just go on tour. All she needs to do is film a couple of videos and release them throughout the year, and once the caronavirus ends, she can start the tour. Gaga and her team are very creative, they can also find different unique ways to perform and promote the album if she really wants to. Madonna promotes her albums...she performed a new song at the Met Gala way back in 2018 and then proceeded to share clips of her creating Madame X.
