The C2C cover and photoshoot are actually pretty great :laughga:

Also, read above, several users including myself pointed out that it is actually not a statue on the cover, but rather a picture of herself photoshopped to look like one. And the elementary school art class collage aspect is very much on brand for Jeff Koons, so assuming her intention was to put a Jeff Koons statue where it doesn't belong isn't accurate.

This for instance is a Jeff Koons:

Some have said it‘s her merged with the statue :oprah:. I get why she would do it, the real one doesn’t look like her.

My intention wasn’t to imply she was putting things where they didn’t belong, but that the mix of high art, tacky collage, and pomposity was the point of the cover as it’s the style that her and Jeff Koons usually go for.

The ARTPOP cover is Gaga taken to the extreme and that’s what makes it so good.

And the C2C cover looks like one of those pictures with bad HDR, sorry :laughga:.

And which cover is not boring?

ARTPOP says hi. You may not like it but it’s the farthest thing from boring.

You better say that you don't like the cover, because I don't understand your point.  How does the cover not represent the sound of the album?  The clear visual obscurity reflects very well in the songs, as Gaga said each TFM song reveals the fear of fame and if you look at the cover, you can understand what she wants to go through.  Both the music and the cover have Dark themes.  The cover is crazy, and yes, it is unique.  Nobody in pop music at that time would do what Gaga did during TFM era

It's especially effective when compared to The Fame album cover, being a kind of response to it.

I did not know that, thanks, I wasn't around for that pre-era and even during the era I didn't pay much attention

But I still think that her hair on the cover was taken from the statue, if you look at it it's the same thing

Actually it's the other way around: the hair on the statue was made to look like what they did with the album cover.

I absolutely LOVE the cover. I can't believe it's here already. My eyes have been blessed this day.

The way you phrased it made it seem like Gaga was the one who had the "genius" idea of juxtaposing the statue with the collage, I simply pointed out that it was actually a very Koons thing to do.

At first glance I thought “this is just another fanmade cover”.

But then I noticed all the details and It has to be real. It’s exactly what I want! I was hoping there wouldn’t be too much color and I was really hoping it wouldn’t resemble Stupid Love. This is AMAZING.
