I mean, Katy's MVs are visually very stunning, but she's more remembered as a popstar who consistently delivered radio-friendly bops back in the day, which is already an accomplishment itself. And which mainstream artist in the 2000s were releasing music videos that had solid narratives and were as weird, experimental, controversial, and as campy as Gaga's before her debut? Other artists started to experiment with their music videos when Gags came to the scene because they realized getting people to talk about their music videos help can boost sales. This is highly subjective, but I wasn't very inspired by the videos for John Wayne, Million Reasons, Stupid Love, and the videos made from ASIB. I kinda liked Love Game, You and I, and Beautiful Dirty Rich. The other MVs were totally amazing, so she could win the Vanguard on the strength of those, imo. I live outside the space time continuum.
