Turkey puts national stay-home order for younger & older groups

So my country, Turkey, just banned people born on or after 2000 from going outside at all. With this, now ages below 20 and above 65 are barred from going outside, while the rest of us are required to use masks at all times if/when we go out to crowded places like markets.

31 of the cities are on lockdown with no car entry or leave.

I don't know how this all will work out since the elderly DO NOT listen at all. Like, every single time I go to a market there are old people around, having cigarettes and stuff :selena:

note: I'm not sure about the tag, should it be politics?

another note: I just spent the equivalent of $70 on 25 regular, cheap face masks because I did not have any and I will still need to go out to shop once or twice a week :selena::selena:

So long ggd, it was nice while it lasted.

Probably need to put a ban and/or fines in place for people to listen, sadly.

Also, why the below 20 and above 65 rule? That's not making sense to me yet

Get the pinot ready, because it's turtle time.

Basically they want people to go to work, which it shows that the measures are politically based.

Yup, I don't think we have a strong enough economy to handle ppl not going to work at all. They really should do something for working class work conditions, though.
