People are working, those in essential services, and many from home. Most countries are covering people with unemployment resources.

If you are dead, you can’t work. 

If the medical system comes to a standstill, you will see real problems.

Really? You really don’t understand? Everyone can’t get it at the same time, because that will completely overwhelm most healthcare systems across the world. Lives will be lost because there will be too many healthcare workers out sick. Doctors will have to chose who to put on ventilators and who to just let die, if healthcare systems are overwhelmed. Deaths would be much much higher if there is no mitigation to lower the curve.

This is not factual speaking. You are just speaking from your own point of view. Pandemics always cause more deaths than recessions. We will bounce back from a recession and everyone will be ok in the end. Not everyone will be ok if healthcare systems are overwhelmed.

No. Our health system can't take all these cases. What you want to achieve is 60-70% immunity among people but that's unrealistic and can take ages. Infecting just everyone would kill billions of people. 

 

We need disciplined social distance and lower the reproduction rate (the new infections causes by one infected person) to less than 1,0. (sideinfo, coronavirus reproductionrate is 2-3,while flu is about 1,25).Only then we can get back to a status were we can loose the social distance rules. 

If we had a vaccine that would make everything easier.

Sweden looks better than other parts of the world who have taken more drastic measures. This isnt a contest with who is taking the more extreme measures. There should be a balance. It is good to see countries like Sweden, Japan, South Korea, Switerzland who are still looking for that balance and have better results that countries on lockdown.

Sweden does not have good results though as their lethalty rate in on par with Spain and France and probably will be soon with Italy's if the government is careless enough. South Korea is the only country that you mentioned that handled this well to be honest, Japan even straigh up lied about its infection numbers for weeks so that the wouldn't have to postpone the Olympics.
