It got to number 5 in the UK.....Im just going to go with “she was unable to promote it” ..as the world went to **** not long after it came out. I love the song and I still listen to it a lot so it’s a hit to me.

I 100% agree with you except for the fact that there was a TON of promo (iPhone/Apple commericals, billboards, banners, major playlists, payola, radio interview).... what’s missing was a live performance.

It was a disaster that they waited so long after the leak to do anything about it - which was RIDICULOUS. She lost SO MANY streams because of it. I can’t believe they would wait that long for a LEAD SINGLE. Applause leaked early back in 2013 and it was a pop emergency!!

As for the video, well, it’s cute and colorful. But that’s it - it’s no where near the top of her best visuals. Maybe she would even agree with that, I mean where was the budget??? So yeah.... underwhelming. But I’m still supporting her regardless. At the end of the day, I was just GLAD to finally have a new release from her after sitting so long in the dark.

Overall, I do believe they should’ve gone with a new lead single. I mean there’s 18 other songs to choose from on the album, I’m sure there was another hit there somewhere.

its a great party song! and lets be serious.. there is no parties now in the clubs pubs, houses..  so how can it become a smash hit?

And additionally there is no promo and won't be for the moment, friendly reminder that when it has leaked the song was palying in namy clubs and everobody  loved it there and belive me - it sounds so good in the club!

Just no all gaga songs will became massive smashes, its doing well in these circumstances. Radios are playing it  in many countries, and researches shown that  like in great birtian  people are still listeingn to radios.. so they are getting familar with the song, stop be chart obsessed  its not a flop. enjoy the music!

yes, it's not my favourite gaga song but i really like it , and i didnt need to persuade myself that i like the song casue its gaga (and I have this situaiton with applause and perfect illusion)
