This tax is the single biggest reason there is so much disparity between the rich taxes payed and Everyone else Raising this tax is not a small thing at all The only thing I’m downplaying is the way Bernie just out-does everything Biden does. What’s even worse is that it actually makes sense and he gets called radical for it. Biden said under his administration, nothing would fundamentally change. The Obama administration lead to Trump’s administration. He is such a terrible candidate but like wbk. Since the nom is probably secured at the point, lemme just occasionally remind people to lower their expectations.

Ppl are allowed to disagree with how far he wants to go on certain things Some of the taxes for example that he's proposing are high even by Scandinavian standards I'm not convinced myself that if he actually managed to have all his policies that America would be better off in the long term. Business still needs to be able to compete internationally and some of the rates he proposes I think would make that challanging to say the least

Plus M4A won’t leave 68k to die a year bc of the system, like the ACA does. He clearly doesn’t care that much about it if he’s not willing to stand up to the pharmaceutical industry. If M4A is passed, everyone will be ensured with healthcare like we are. If the Green New Deal is passed, the climate crisis is cancelled. If student and medical debt is cancelled, people can stimulate the economy and actually buy a house to start a family. His policies are good for average people and will make America’s people better, and that should matter most. Not every day people’s fault if companies misused their decades of neoliberal corporate socialism.

freebit 6,240
IDK, hope she doesn't, but I think her endorsement is expected because he introduced her at the Oscars and did that event together. So in a way, it would be rude to not acknowledge him...I guess. I would have been pressed about this two months ago, but the dems made sure Bernie has no chance, and now it's looking like Biden has no chance. It's anything goes and nothing matters at this point! Excuse my mini breakdown.

Not every day people’s fault if companies misused their decades of neoliberal corporate socialism. I agree with u on healthcare and environment. Biden doesn't do much in those regards Cancelling student debt is something I have mixed opinions about. I only support the idea of they are able to reform the system to be much more affordable (or even free if they manage)... Because if u cancel student debt but u don't fix the root cause (high tuitions), the next generation will just get in debt again and then: #1 u haven't solved the problem #2 u might have to forgive debt again #3 if ppl see debt forgiveness happened once, they may expect it could happen again and not put as much of an effort to avoid student debt to begin with and next generation rack up even more debt than this one So as much as it might boost economy now, in the long term if ur gonna cancel student debt, I think it has to be a package deal with reforms to actually make post secondary less expensive And I don't buy to the idea that good intentions automatically equal good results. Something can sound great for the average person but still backfire for everyone if it strains the business world too much. There's a certain threshold in left wing policies and attempts at redistribution that I believe once crossed stops having a bet-benefit for everyone and starts to do more harm than good even if that's not the intent I don't pretend to know exactly where they threshold is. And that line may also vary depending on circumstances and how well they are carried out... But I do believe there's a good chance some of Bernie's ideas may cross that line or threshold especially when it comes to the degree he wants to go to on taxes on big business

Excuse my mini breakdown. She won't. Gaga absolutely f*cks up at times, but there's no way her publicist/team hasn't told her in serious terms "don't endorse the man" until this Tara thing gets checked out by Ronan Farrow/NY Mag/etc. Plus, there has been so much backlash for celebs recently in terms of politics....I doubt she plans to endorse anyone until the nominee is officially chosen. Also, just because she's done charity work with Biden doesn't mean she was/is a supporter. A lot of celebs have done charity work with pols they don't support...I'm taking a wild guess, but she strikes me as way more of a Harris/Yang/Warren person. Also, a lot of Hollywood musicians and actors were hardcore into Yang and a lot of his ideas/comments seem like the sort of sh*t Gaga would love. Joe is our only chance. I dislike Biden a lot, but yep...he's the obvious nominee. And frankly Bernie's own ****s up are part of the reason it ended up being Joe (I still can't get over that they never planned to go beyond 30% and counted on a contested convention). Also, irony of all irony Joe only joined the race because Bernie decided to run. Anyway, I highly doubt Gaga will endorse him now for multiple reasons...but I wouldn't be shocked if there was some banter that lights GGD up in flames.
