I expect her next full length album to be even more like Piggyback, Highschool Sweethearts and Recess tbh... sorry to anyone who liked the beats in Crybaby. I'll miss them too but I love everything she puts out. (although Copycat is actually probably the first one that's yet to grow on me sorry ) I'll be myself until they fūcking close the coffin. I wouldn't mind an entire album of that. K-12 is far from being bad - like at all, but I can say that it lacks cohesiveness, they made the record to be a soundtrack to the movie, instead of making it into a project of is own ... and that messed it up, cause it gets a bit repetitive with the sound effects. It was one of my favorite albums of 2019. whateveradore 858 Posted March 31, 2020 Share Posted March 31, 2020 I've been following Melanie since the "Dollhouse EP" dropped, I've seen her live 2 times with the Cry Baby tour (since I'm from Brazil and she has yet to come back), I have actually met her and had some interactions on social media. Cry Baby was and still is one of my favorite albums of all time, I kept checking her live concerts before it came out as she was already performing songs from it, so I grew up listening to it. I've waited 4 years for K-12 and I'm still obsessed with it. She is a hard-working beach ... she toured the U.S 3 times with a 4 track EP (and adding new original songs to the setlist), she toured the world 2 times with Cry Baby, she writes all of her songs, she helps to produce it, she directs her music videos, she acts on them too, for the K-12 movie she wrote the script and worked on the costuming + went personally to onset lookout. It saddens me that people pay her dust due to a false accusation. Or "judge" her for the Cry Baby character thinking she endorses pedophilia by sexualizing babies or that she glamorizes and makes fun of mental health ... when in fact she talks about heavy stuff on her music.
