So my opinion is pretty irrelevant, but here we go:

Beyonce's image is very important to the black community, and society as a whole. She'd achieved so many amazing things throughout her career, and as much as you dislike her, there is NO denying that. With success like that, I'd like to believe that your head is bound to get big, which is why I give much credit to my favorites - Shak, Gaga, Gwen, etc  - for staying humble, kind people all these years, award after award. I don't listen to Beyonce's music, because it just isn't my thing, but my respect for her as an artist still stands. As a person? I don't have one, and that's okay. I don't know her personally, and questioning if these stories are true. This was in the past, and I believe people can change, no matter their celebrity status. So, that's that.

But nothing else really grabs me, I've seen some of her popular singles like Formation and Drunk In Love and they have some of the cringiest most clumsiest lyrics I've heard from a pop star on her level. Again, I'm not trying to spread hate, this is just what I feel. Otherwise I think she's a very talented woman who can sing a dance like no tomorrow :queenga:

Formation inspires me so much as a POC. The way she’s embracing everything in her culture also is what the media try to bring down. Her daughter hair, her husband feature, her sensuality and the country root are mentioned throughout entire song with catch phases after catch phase. Some of POC who are not living up to the standard of society love the celebration of culture the song brought. We embrace our identity and dance to it until we cannot.
Lemonade maybe is not my most favorite album but formation is always what inspires me most along with Hair

Please ignore the spelling in username. I am a Beyonce stan afterall.

I think so people love to hate on Beyonce simply because they have to be "different" and "cool" just because everybody likes her and they don't (honestly, people who dislike here act as if its an talent or something) she can perform the house down, sing her heart out and has overcome adversity and empowered POC and women. Whether they like it or not she's a legend and is gonna be remembered and worshiped years from now.

Saying she’s a “mediocre singer at best” is just objectively wrong. People have every right not to like her but she’s still an incredible vocalist

Anyone who even attempts to disagree is delusional. :smh:

Let me not act like if I was Beyoncé and I had all that hype but wanted privacy I wouldn't do all those same things. Have you not seen how crazy stans are showing up to funerals and celebrities front doors and ****. I would be on lock down and you can't tell me you wouldn't be on lock down too if you had her status. It just makes sense? Doesn't the queen have to stay protected?:billie:

I will never find it hard to praise Beyonce because her strives for excellence and delivers it whenever she graces a stage. I don't want to fall into the "if you don't like her, you're delusional" thing but some of the stuff people say/think about her is ridiculous, hateful, and at most times just wrong.

It is not our differences that divide us. It is our inability to recognize, accept, and celebrate those differences. - Audre Lorde
