When Gaga wants to feel Old Hollywood glamorous, she goes for that. When she wants to feel grunge and punk, she goes for that. Gaga is a rebellious artist. In her own words, when people ask her to take a right she takes a sharp left. She's also miles better than Tara Savelo circa late 2012, towards the end of her collaboration with Gaga. Sarah is obviously much more professional and polished while Tara was fun and messy and was clearly a bad influence on Gaga. Still, both have their hits and misses because that's what Gaga, the artist, wants you to take away from her. She wants you to see her as a posh diva, a messy gal, and the infinite looks in between. She's the artist, the others around her are just vehicles for her artistry to execute her visions. And not you b*tches being brave and shady when y'all can't even get your contour right or wing your eye properly My two fav looks from her are Oscars 2016 and ASIB Venice Festival 2019. The fact that we are even having to explain this after all these years. There's so much evidence just go through the media archives. It's clear they just need someone to hate on so they picked her & Freddie as if they don't just do what Gaga asks for. Is this not the same woman that wore horn prosthetics for an entire single era because when they show it means she's feeling "creative" and giant moles on her face during the Judas era. hELXIG 43,066 Posted March 31, 2020 Share Posted March 31, 2020 I've been getting this vibe the past 5 years or so that Gaga has a strong desire to be seen as a regular person, down here with the rest of us, rather than some immaculate, perfect, untouchable creature on a pedestal. Like most celebs we look at seem so polished and perfect that it's like they aren't even real, and Gaga knows how many people strive for that unattainable level of perfection and doesn't want to be that kind of role model. Everything she does she always says she wants us to be able to recreate it at home on a budget, or to inspire us to use what we have to create art, to show that we don't need millions of dollars and a celebrity team to create art. Like how on Drag Race she turned down that incredible outfit in place of something more 'homemade' and easily replicated. How she filmed the SL music video on iPhones that we all have. She wants to feel connected to us, rather than above us with her perfection. (because after all it's really just a perfect illusion right? Spill it... He's been doing her hair basically since the beginning why are they acting like he's not behind probably all of the most beloved wigs she's worn.
