There hasn’t been any proper promo at ALL for the era aside from like 2 radio interviews and a magazine cover/interview. I don't buy any of this "just release the album" talk. They're the exact same people who will be b!tching about the era being boring and not having enough promo. They're just greedy and only think about things in the short-term. Of course we all want the album today, but the wait is better in the long-term. It was a good choice to delay the album, instead of having it splintered before, through and after (the worst of) the pandemic, she can properly restart the biggest part after (the worst of) the pandemic. This next single needs to be big and easy to sell to the GP, so maybe that Ariana collab is coming (especially when the message it's about healing?). However, I feel like she already got so much backlash back in 2015/6 when she decided to change the direction for the original LG5. She is definitely still changing things on the album, so let's see if it's for the better. Off topic: Man, I don't really log in here that much anymore but to find you here was a pleasant surprise! I've been watching lots of videos to distract myself from the mess that is the world and your Dua reaction cheered me up. Technically SL is the lead but how it feels and how we consider it is kinda arbitrary The fact that the album hadn't been released yet gives her room to maneuver (provided it doesn't leak) If she doesn't release again for 6 months, SL could feel just like a stand alone promo single not part of the era (even tho it technically is and would be included in album) and then when she restarts, the second single will end up feeling like a new lead as she plans to restart the era again It would have been worse if she had already released the album but fortunately for her she hadn't Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
