Gaga will restart era

I think Gaga is going to restart the Chromatica era...

We know Gaga is an activist at heart, she always has been, and due to everything that is going on in the world with COVID-19, I think she is going to pause the release of the album - and anything related to it - until she has done her bit and the virus has began to decrease. I think that although it seems like everyone else has continued their album roll-outs (e.g. Dua, Weeknd), they merely were seeing them through... Gaga actually had barely began her campaign and I think she would feel selfish promoting for people to 'buy her new single' 'watch her new video' 'pay for her concert' at a time of severe crisis. 

Therefore, I do think when Gaga said she is postponing the album, this meant EVERYTHING to do with the album. Her IG story last night suggests she is going to be doing some work to help with the issues, possibly donating or doing lives, and she'll probably take this time to leave the album and any announcements until she can be excited herself to make them (and not be thinking about the suffering people are going through). This is obviously why she didn't perform last night too, she doesn't want to be talking about herself - in any sense - when there is a pandemic happening.

I think Gaga will leave Stupid Love to see how it does naturally, and then properly come back with the "new lead single" of Rain On Me with Ari, the new album date, album cover, performances, the lot. It's clear from early interviews Gaga wanted to make an album people could listen to and ENJOY, I think she'd feel strange knowing the world couldn't fully enjoy and express themselves to her new music whilst the virus is still a global concern... 

This is probably the most wise thing to do, we all know how Gaga is sensitive to these issues (see Five Foot Two) and she is probably looking out for her own family and her own health as #1.

It doesn’t make any difference if the next one is considered the new lead or just the second single, you get what I’m saying? She can heavily promote the new song and have it be a success and still consider it the second single. Calling it the “lead single” won’t make any difference.

I don’t know if it’ll be a whole restart. But it’ll definitely be quite obvious that the era will he separated into SL ///// the album era kick off. SL will be viewed as more of a hype single in the long run I think. Even though it’s the lead single, it doesn’t feel like a lead campaign where as the next single most likely will feel like a campaign, especially with one of the most strategically managed artists in pop attached to it,  or at least in the most possible way given the circumstances

That's why I put it as 'new lead single' - you're right, she won't promote it as the lead single, but it may as well be.

UK lockdown got extended to September so I’d suspect the states would end up doing something similar so she’s definitely not gonna be able to release the album, do press and do her Chromatica Ball in Europe dates till Q4 or even Q1 2021. 

I’d say expect the album in September at the earliest still like I’ve been saying all along because she won’t be able to do the events she had planned like the Apple Music fan event until at the earliest November but even then people might wanna take a while before they go to big events, travel etc. They’re already considering releasing every movie that was due to come out this year on streaming for individual one time purchases and they’re expecting we won’t be able to return to normal life till the end of the year into 2021.

Agree. If this era was intended to be a story where every video was a continuation, we cannot simply ignore SL. No more discontinuations please! May the Telephone trilogy RIP.

I mean I get what your saying..... SL will always be the lead but the promotion for it will not be to the full extent like a typical Lead single (no award shows no appearances). So in the end the 2 single will have more promotion than the actual lead
