Hello everyone, it's currently 3 AM where I'm from and I'm wondering if this happens to you guys. I happened to stumble across some old Gaga vids and unreleased songs on YouTube and I watched Princess Die live for the first time in ages and listened to No Way and Second Time Around and Let Love Down and now I'm super nostalgic about this time of my life where this highlighted my childhood and I'm currently like ieuhkjfn3f3klfn :cryga::messga: Does anyone ever feel nostalgia like this, or am I the only one? The way she shaped who I was as a young kid and how it shaped who I am now just came flooding back to me and needed to dump it all some where.

I mean at this point I've been a fan for 11 years so yes.... constantly lol. I catch myself falling into holes watching interviews and bts content and stuff. Gaga, Beyoncé and Ariana show up recommended to me A LOT on YouTube.

Same! I also feel this way when I watch The Monster Ball, both theater and arena version. Oh, I was just 11 y.o. when I discovered Gaga... :nooo:

Girl yes :messga:

The way they played Poker Face and Just Dance music videos on tv music channels all the damn time back when those were her only two songs. Having The Fame in my iPod and playing it every damn day. Doing karaokes for TF singles. Watching the 2009 VMAs and being completely flabbergasted by how bizarre and unique she was.

The excitement when TFM was announced and I was ecstatic to get new music from her. The way Bad Romance was the biggest song in the world and she was on everyone’s mouths. I was in 2nd grade in 2010 and I remember everyone in my class singing Alejandro to tease a classmate of mine who has that name. Watching the Telephone MV when it came out and then repeating daily behind my parent’s back. BTW being everywhere and being shocked at hearing the word gay on a song. The Judas controversy and my grandma telling me to not listen to Gaga because she’s satanic, but I bopped to it every day doing the choreo in my living room. I remember Applause being everywhere as well and everyone singing the hook at school.

Good times man. I’ve been a fan since the very beginning, she has being with me since 2008, and I’ve never stopped being in awe at her talent and artistry. Never. I remember I hated PI when it came out but I still loved Joanne. The Super Bowl happened during the Joanne era as well. ASIB happened later on. She has never stopped impressing me throughout her whole career. She may be frustrating to stan sometimes, but she will always be THAT bitch to me, and what I’ve learned from all these years is that she always ends up delivering.

YES! We literally lived the same childhood. I remember hearing Judas on the radio on the way to Easter celebration with my family when it came out and the car was so silent whilst it played :air:

Those that are too young to have witnessed her whole career as a stan have no idea how crazy it was back then. Now she’s an established legend and has been around for 12 years, but at that time she was just brand new and we didn’t know everything she was capable of. So it was completely exciting to see it all come out, the music videos, the outfits, her performances, everything for the first time. She never stops surprising, but back then it was crazier because she was new so it was insane to witness all of those iconic career-defining moments that cemented her current legendary status.

Not that she doesn’t have iconic moments anymore, it’s just not as crazy to witness because we know what she can do. But obviously she still continues to have iconic career-defining moments: Super Bowl and the ASIB era being prime examples.

This happens all the time for me, especially for BTW era (middle school) and ARTPOP (high school) for me.
She was just so fun to follow, I remember when all the singles came out and all her iconic looks, videos, performances, controversies and antics.

during those eras lots of people including my family made fun of me for stanning her because she had already become notorious, but now they love her talent.

I think it’s why pop recently is so boring to me. Not just because it doesn’t dominate the charts like it used to, but just because there’s no one like Gaga specifically dominating in the way she did back then. Not just successful singles, but public mindshare and bold artistry that bred controversy. I really don’t think we’ll see anything like it again:giveup:

She single handedly brought the standard for weirdness, extravagancy and avante-garde pop eras from every aspect of music to fashion to visuals up so high that no one can match up to it and surprise me anymore, not even her. I miss it so much.

Yes all of this! Watching it in real time back then was amazing. I feel bad for anyone who didn’t get to watch that paparazzi performance when it first aired

I don’t know if it was like this everywhere, but I remember she got so much hate from the media and gp that saying “lady gaga” was almost like a bad word. I can’t tell you how many times I had to follow it up with “I know she’s weird but she’s actually really talented”. It’s amazing to see how that turned around and now everyone loves her (everyone except her own fan base apparently haha)

reality’s tight if the music is right

Yes. I watched the 2009 VMAs with my parents and I remember them scoffing at her wild outfits and kookiness. I remember them being disgusted by the Paparazzi performance. Everything she did was deemed outrageous. I recall perfectly well that people said she was just a fad and no one would remember her in a few years. Well...

I was a teenager when The Fame was released and I hated it.  I thought she was desperate for attention. I also thought I was super cool for only listening to indie music and metal lol.

It wasn't until Born This Way, when I was struggling with my own identity, that I stanned.

I remember hearing the words "I'm on the right track" for the first time.  All of a sudden it became clear to me that I wasn't going to hell, nor was I sick.  It was society that was sick and Gaga was out there fighting it.

I repented for my cardinal sin of hating her and, at 16 years old, officially became a Little Monster.  I am very nostalgic, especially for the btw era.

I'm also nostalgic over the excitement of ARTPOP, hearing new promo singles every couple weeks, waiting for those videos that never came, wondering why Gaga was acting so distant and dissociated.... It was an adventure lol

Btw, I didn't realize people were so young on this site...

Makes sense why so many people act like spoiled teenage Queens in these forums 👀
