Sometimes I feel like some of you really didn’t read her statement too closely....

Her mental health comes first and many on here don’t care about that sadly

If she didn’t feel like singing, she’s obviously not singing.

She would have been dragged if she sang any, specially her own.

But everyone else is singing?

Mockery?! What?! It's not a mockery! We're allowed to be sarcastic and degrade her for trying to help the world. Duh! Freedom of expression, luv

Honestly, I'm just tired of predicting this site. I would have love to hear Gaga sing in this show, but she didn't, and that's fine. She's not going to debut a new song at a charity event, so that means either she sings some kind of acoustic version of Stupid Love, or an old song like Million Reasons or The Edge of Glory and then get dragged by little monsters for not performing a full-length show with dancers and lightshows.

I don't know if she wanted to perform or not, but I just KNOW that she was going to get dragged either way.

But...every other artist is singing songs too? It's a concert show...I'm confused why she would be dragged??? :awkney:

Maybe it's just me but there is a current hate-boner for Gaga. Media has picked up on Joe's clownery and some outlets are being shady towards Gaga for postponing Chromatica. A speech was Gaga's safest choice for good PR.

Ciara and her family say hi :awkney:

She could've done nothing at all. Although I do get the "But we're allowed to be upset !1!1" argument, with the state of the world right now, it is merely disrespectful and uncalled for to complain over her kind words and message.

I’ve been living in a bubble so this is just my opinion without regards to the comments others may have been posting about Gaga; she was supposed to release an album that has been delayed. Many are understandably disappointed as we have been waiting a long time for it. She did, however, release a lead single that took off and smashed expectations in its debut week- positive reviews from critics, a top 10 debut, strong debut on radio, etc.

That lead single is still only a month or so old and lagging due to an understandable lack of promo. Why should I not think that a musician who i have supported with my own money, time, etc., could/should actually perform this lead single I have defended and supported?

She said that there was a ton of promo lined up that had to be shelved etc. Fine. But, no there isn’t a hate boner for Gaga. There’s confusion as to why, even when given the chance via a *concert*, she still was MIA?! Coachella was cancelled, but here was a concert being safely broadcasted to the fans who will not get those planned performances or the album... and she couldn’t sing SL to give Us a moment And give the song a boost?

i think it's ok to feel a bit frustrated. i mean, i get that the situation at hand is bad. i just feel slightly disappointed because of my expectations, and that's ok. i hate how the coronavirus ****ed this entire thing up. I'll just stick to focusing on other artists and take a break for a while ig.
