Melodrama captured my teenage and a generation in one good album. Never experienced what melodrama has given to me

Not even a competition. FN is a solid album, but Melodrama is one of the best albums ever made, or at least of this century. Everything about it is so perfectly made and crafted, every single emotion is transmitted beautifully through Lorde’s masterful songwriting and Jack Antonoff’s amazing production. A gorgeous piece of art.

How 24k Magic won AOTY over this is beyond me.

Ok is Melodrama THAT good??? Lorde just doesn’t do it for me so i never listened to it, but damn maybe i should!

Melodrama without a doubt... but consider that you mentioned two different records and kind of music.

Melodrama is the superior album.. it was innovative. FN is amazing, and I enjoy it just as much but I couldn't vote for it against Lorde's epic.

Melodrama is on another level. The cohesion, the lyrics, the production, etc. So clearly the answer is Melodrama

Does it matter? Damage is done

Obviously Melodrama but that's no shade to FN. Melodrama is just perfection, Green Light is one of my favorite songs of all time. FN is definitely one of the better pop albums of recent years but can't live up to Lorde's magnum opus.
