Not everyone knows that Ava can do notes in the whistle register. Just before Christmas 2018, she put out a video of her singing O Holy Night, which was covered by Mariah and sounded quite similar to her and she hit this amazing whistle note at the end. I think when she talks about being inspired by Mariah, it's more to do with vocal style, same with the other divas. But yeah, she really needs to cut the crap and start saying that Gaga is clearly her biggest inspiration. Her label are probably advising against it and she's complying if she wants to keep her career but whoever's advising her has got it all wrong. Being self aware is where it's at and the public don't stand for BS from celebrities like they used to. Nicki got compared to Gaga back in the day and she similarly avoided saying she was an inspiration and it only made things worse for her as people could see the inspiration clear as day. Pre-Gaga, she looked like your standard rap chick with her real hair colour, wearing crop tops and hot pants and doing proper hip hop. Then Gaga got big and her first two eras involved her wearing different coloured wigs, outlandish nonsensical outfits and making hip pop produced by RedOne. So, Ava's fooling no one. Most of her material sound like something Gaga would've released in 2008 (it's a shame it sounds kinda dated as she's clearly kept this inspiration going for some time). We're not stupid. The only blonde popstars gaga has repeatedly referred to during this era were britney and madonna and she clearly said many times that the 2 influenced her.
