Ok I totally get what you said, I do. But when the music industry wakes the f*** up that the US, one of their biggest markets, is going to be unable to promote albums and execute full roll-outs for months, they're going to miss the money coming in. TV watching is up 8% per Nieslon. If all of these talk show hosts are returning to TV via remote locations, i.e, Corden, Fallon, etc. The way to promote will shift back to streaming performances and adapting to the times. Streaming consumption also will eventually go back up if people realize how long they may be home for. It just seems to me that marketing teams aren't watching the news and realizing that we're going to be in this for a LONG time

I do find it odd that Gaga said it was bc she didn’t want to release during the pandemic when on that same statement she implied it was bc she wasn’t going to be able to promote and perform. Like, I love her but maybe she would’ve gotten less backlash if she had been 100% honest about the reason of postponement. I mean, we all know the real reason why she did it.

Although then again, Dua was planning on postponing FN before the leak happened, which is pretty weird bc she already did all her promotion and her strength is on streaming anyways. So I really don’t understand what do these labels want

Dua said so in an interview recently, I think it was for Billboard. I’ll see if I can find it.

EDIT: I think it wasn’t for Billboard  Some user shared the interview on another thread, I don’t remember for what publication was the interview.
