It might be an act of genius. It is not hard to imagine the nation’s young music lovers social distancing together, doing home workouts via video conferencing, belting out the “Baby, keep on dancing like you ain’t got no choice” hook from Dua Lipa’s storming single Physical. Many major artists are postponing releases until they can promote them properly, including Lady Gaga and Haim.

All reviewers are basically praising Dua for releasing an upbeat album in the middle of a pandemic :ohwell:
Was it a dumb move for Gaga/Interscope to kill all the hype and give Dua the center stage?

I think each artist is different. Someone like the Weeknd can release anytime they want and he'll l get the streams.

Someone like Dua Lips is obviously benefitting from critics and Stan world but I feel her numbers will disappoint. Plus less performances/interviews from her is addition by subtraction.

Gaga is a performance/visual artist so she does need the performances. She was gonna launch the album on Coachella for example. So she is wiser to postpone.

They said nothing negative about Gaga, they just said she postponed. Stop it with this flamebait threads that will make people come here and bash either Dua or Gaga. Enough.

I just find it annoying that they have to bring up gaga's album delay in every review
