Gaga could do more in the meantime

There is no hype around this era anymore, for me personally, and I’m sure many people here also feel the same

i have been saying numerous times an Instagram live, or a quick post about this or that would be sufficient. Even when Dua had to release early she still built hype up somehow because now that Coronavirus is more serious, she can’t promote as often, so she decided to announce she was dropping FN early via an instagram live. Genius.

But why gaga can’t do the same to BUILD HYPE confuses me honestly. And don’t even say she’s too busy cos she’s literally getting her guts rearranged in self quarantine

Please do take in account that she is human, too. Maybe the pandemic is badly influencing her mental health and she just doesn't feel like talking about fun tracks with fans via IG or  teasing/playing songs which were meant for an completely different situation (many people experience this right now and it's fine).

Tbh, she probably just meant promo spots like the now cancelled Coachella appearance. There's no real reason to assume she meant to imply that we'd get these things sooner than the entire promo roll-out. It literally reads like: "Coachella may have been cancelled, but a lot of other stuff that was planned is still happening, though delayed"  

If the album is months away, which is undoubtedly is (or we'd have a release date/month already), there's no way she'd start promoting it too early.

Girl she won’t say a word until the new roll out believe that. Some interaction would be amazing ngl, even if it wasn’t about the next album just like do some covers on IG live, sing songs from her discography we haven’t heard her do. But she won’t.

This is Gaga we're talking about. She cares way too much about whatever she perceives as the bane of the world. She's probably depressed af rn and just in no mood to motivate herself to play the pop star right now.

She's already said multiple times now that she sees pop music as just one facet of her career and that her main mission is to spread kindness and help people. From that angle, it's totally normal for her to just back off now and stay silent. Because the world, according to her, is in such a bad place rn that she doesn't feel there's anything she can do right now to help.

As her Insta post implied: she'll be curating the corona afterparty. Makes sense for her personality.

I took that as, “While most of the stuff I planned out is cancelled or delayed, there are still some things I want to share with you guys before the album releases”.

I mean, I’m not expecting anything big, but I don’t think she’d leave all us all without anything for the next couple of months.

"still planning" means nothing has changed to her timeline. If she was still planning those surprises yesterday, just mere days before her album was released, then there's absolutely no way she'll roll out those surprises in the next coming weeks, because that means those surprises were meant for after the album release, like Coachella.

I don't know, I guess we'll find out together  I think it depends a little bit based on what she thinks of the fans' reaction to the delay  I can totally imagine her just being disappointed af and dropping us until promo season arrives.

That's true but in my opinion, if she realized that her way to impact is through her work then she should use that platform now because she can. She believes art is healing and she's an influential artist then why not use it now  I get that the delay of the album was either the decision made by her label or just her wanting to bring her initial vision for the era to life but there are other things she could do in the meantime. 

I feel like it's very off that she is spreading kindness and helping people only when she has to sell something and I'd be disappointed if she would just be silent until the new rollout begins. 

This is exactly the point in time where we can see if it's not all talk. Chris Martin performed on Instagram Live, Miley Cyrus is doing live sessions. I don't see why she can't too, especially since she talks about using her platform to help people very often lately.
