Correction though : the virus will persist but because of its low rate of mutation we’re developing immunity to the virus little by little - this won’t be like the flu in any capacity which mutates every years - within less than a year herd immunity would’ve been acquired by most populations so the rate of infections will continue to decrease - that in tandem with antibody treatments expansions in chloroquine and remdisivir trials etc well have this thing beat far before a year / eighteen months ... BUT ... for people to put the album and tour before anyone’s health is so so selfish — in the grand scheme of things a little pop-album will not matter. Do something else with your life and realize that in the grand scheme of things you twerking to a Gaga record is the least important issue right now ... YOU HAVE TO STAHP

Ok so to stop the corona virus and make it “just a regular seasonal Disease” we need a vaccine which will take at least a year to manufacture and spread globally BUT what can make it a disease and not a pandemic is a cure. Rn we don’t know how to treat infected people because it’s a new virus and we study about it everyday. A cure/way of treatment will be found WAY sooner than a vaccine will And we will know how to treat people normally and control and stop it from becoming a pandemic.
Plus people cannot stay home for months it is literally impossible. Children need to learn, people have houses and they need to make money, not to mention it’ll complete break down countries if people will be locked home for months and it can be worser than the virus itself.

So people won’t be in lockdown for months that’ll be IMPOSSIBLE. Or we’re gonna a cure/way of treatment And/Or we’re gonna learn how to live with the virus. There is no option for a lockdown of MONTHS (and I mean 3/4/5+ months)

“Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, had a straightforward message Wednesday night about how long the novel coronavirus could affect daily life in the US: ‘You don't make the timeline, the virus makes the timeline.’”

The coronavirus emergency in Lombardy and the rest of Italy will not end soon. I hope we will get out of it even earlier, but talking about June is not unrealistic". This is the estimate of Massimo Galli, head of the infectious diseases department of the Sacco hospital in Milan. Galli invites to watch the coast going on in Wuhan, where they are beginning to see the end of this story now. For the rest of the world it would most probably end by the end of the summer / beginning of Autumn. Stay safe and strong.

Ok, people who think that the full lockdown will last longer than 2 months need to chill

Like, do you even realize the implications? It isn't even possible.

There's so many people working in the service industry + in factories that produce stuff for currently closed stores and barely any country (if any) has the financial capacities to pay each worker in these jobs a respectable salary for a longer period of time (if they would even try to do that)

+ there are countries that completely rely on tourism

+ people working in transportation, television, live performers

+ people who don't have the possibilities of attending online classes from schools/universities etc etc

At some point everything has to open again or you'll have gigantic amount of poverty, unemployment and a big economic crash

No one has the intentions of completely eradicating it in the next year, it's all about flattening the curve in the next months so that hospitals aren't overwhelmed

As if mother nature cares about the economy? :messga:

No economy means no food no treatments no hospital and no vaccine — so at a certain point we’re going to have to take the risk to get back out - otherwise expect political unrest mass poverty mass violence etc in places we considered safe and stable ... the damages to human life would be far more profound ... I honestly wouldn’t want to be in the position of any politician right now — the decisions to be made are going to be so so tough
