Think about Gaga for a minute..

She's an empathetic human being who wants to help people and cares about people.   Good chance shes trying to figure out personally how to help how she can and if the BTW foundation can do anything also.   She has family and friends in NY and LA, which are being hit by the virus.   NY is basically on lockdown.  Her body hits her with physical pain when she is under stress, and right now alot of people are under stress.   She wants to obey the social distancing restrictions and doesn't want to force her people to have to get in close situations for promo, etc either.

so maybe we remember that Gaga is a human being under stress during these times also, and that she probably feels she can't give what she needs to at the current time.

For some reason, people who don't like Gaga's recent projects have invented a fictitious narrative that Gaga only cares about money, and have completely forgotten or ignored the fact that she's proven over her entire career that is not the case at all.  She deeply cares about people.   Using this invented narrative towards her is just another lazy way to drag her for doing things you don't like.  She doesn't deserve that scorn.

Gaga is empathetic.  Have a bit of empathy in return.  Be a decent human being instead of throwing around negative accusations.  Think about someone besides yourselves.

I'm going to social distance myself from GGD for a while, because I don't need the extra negativity being generated during this time.   Many of you, especially the ones who are being the most negative, probably could stand to do the same.   Take a break, clear your head, recognize that there are bigger problems in the world than a delayed pop album.

We can be upset. It was hypocritical of her to postpone the album, but it was a business decision. And we can be upset and react negatively to this news. We’ll get over it, but we can have a moment.

EDIT: And also it was most likely not her decision.

Yep.

At the end of the day, the only legit thing someone can drag Gaga for right now is not keeping a closer watch on HL—it's a company with probably at least a thousand employees and I'm sure she didn't sign off/was aware of the bundle & tweet...but as she is the boss she's technically responsible. Fire whoever made that decision (and she needs to stop claiming she knows every detail...I'm sure she's involved, but realistically she was never involved with every decision & it probably annoys the business people who do make some of the choices for her).

But even then, the backlash to that is over the top and people are acting like Gaga personally tweeted that out and said "I want a bundle for my b-day."

This - and more than most likely. If her label made the decision to postpone it there's little she can do.

But yes, people are allowed to be sad.

Majority of the negative comments are just flat out rude both on Twitter and GGD. So no they don't get to be upset and angry. Keep the same energy for the people who has said the most horrid things about her on this site.

She's also not 23-26 anymore and coked out (and even back then, she definitely still did the bling sometimes).  HL probably has a thousand employees, and there are probably at least a hundred people involved in the release & planned promo of Chromatica (not just the producers and songwriters).

She can deal with an album that doesn't sell....but it will impact other people who probably will be hurt by losing $$$. Also, leaving money aside...I don't believe she cares that much about charts but at the same time I don't think she wants to flop...and an album WILL flop if released at the height of the NYC pandemic. And the PR issues....

Plus, it's obviously Interscope's decision even if she agrees with them.

I love you but I do think you're being a bit dramatic rn. There's no need to show more empathy to Gaga than any other person in this world. Just because she's a celebrity people are more likely to give her a free pass for literally everything but that's not right :emma:

"For some reason, people who don't like Gaga's recent projects have invented a fictitious narrative that Gaga only cares about money, and have completely forgotten or ignored the fact that she's proven over her entire career that is not the case at all" that's very naive as well. I'd say she's actually proven over her entire career that this is exactly the case but that she doesn't see this as conflicting with her empathy or her message for the world, which is a simultaneously central concern for her :oprah:

Anyway, I'd like to tell you to take your own advice. There's bigger problems in the world than people dissing Gaga for like a few seconds before they get over it :rip:

Guys there are ways to share one's disappointment maturely, but uh insulting Gaga and her team is NOT one of them.

If the fans having their "moment" is immaturely degrading Gaga then no, they shouldn't have it at all. That is simply an excuse to further allow comments that are meant to spread hate. Present your viewpoint respectfully, otherwise there is absolutely no need for overtly negative drivel on this site.

she mentions in her post that SHE made the decision to delay it. It seems like whenever something good happens it's always credited to Gaga and when something bad happens it's blamed at her label even if she straight up says she decided it.

You realize there's literally no other way to word it right? Do you expect her to say "my label made me postpone" like chile please

Well, the narrative that "Gaga only cares about money" is wrong though.

But as you say, yes, "she doesn't see this as conflicting". She doesn't only care about money, but of course she loves money. Who doesn't love money? I love money!
