Coachella / Gaga in October

When I first read that Gaga had planned a secret Coachella set, I was absolutely hyped by the prospect.

And since it's only been rescheduled until October, I thought that maybe she'd be part of that re-scheduled plan and perform then. 

But the fact that Gaga told us about the 'secret' makes me think it's unlikely that she'll take the stage in October. 

If the intention was for it to be a secret - then, why tell us?

She could've just kept it as a surprise in October. 

Or... did she tell us as a way to 'prove' that she did have plans? And that, therefore, it might still be happening?

I guess it was confusing to mention Coachella, altogether. She doesn't say it's been cancelled, but does say it 'was' planned, not that it's happening. 

What do you guys think?

Could she still be at Coachella in October? My instinct is no. I'd think her schedule maybe doesn't permit for it that time of the year, perhaps. 

But then again... if it's never going to happen, it does seem a little 'cruel' to even tell us about it, doesn't it? Kinda like 'what could've been'. If she had no plans of ever doing it, maybe she would've kept it to herself. I don't know. 

Either way, I'd love for this to happen. Her previous slot at Coachella was not her best, and I think she knows that. I think she'd love to have the opportunity to do it how she really wants with enough time to plan, unlike last time.

I think she had the intention to reveal it before the actual event, so maybe it will be rescheduled.

Maybe she was planning on extending The Chromatica Ball into October and knew she wasn't going to be in the US.

It wouldn't make sense. The aim was to give a tease of the album, what would be the point of doing that after the actual album world tour this summer?

I think that's the reason why she revealed the surprise - she definitely knows that it's not happening anymore, at least not in the form she initially planned. The delay was a necessary thing to avoid any further artistic casualty, and I feel like that's what she was saying here.

The delay is 100% the right decision.

I think one other reason for her to tell us was that she also was genuinely disappointed. It's something she must have been preparing for and planning for a while.
