PS Shame on you for making your employees work on compiling these sets and sending them out. Sorry, but makeup is not an essential business. 

 

I really want this set because I made a vow to myself not to let myself go during quarantine and even bought a box dye so I could do my roots myself. But that's mainly because I've been depressed before and went through a phase where I didn't do any self care. I definitely don't want a repeat of that phase of my life. 

Tbh I didn't think about that last part and I've been taking all employees into consideration when I've been purchasing things this week. But I will reconsider buying this now.

Yeah, I’m a HL user, but this is in poor taste. Mainly because, as others have said, how and why are these items still being shipped out?! 

Non-essential businesses are closed in most places, and I would very much hope that includes the HL warehouses. Hopefully if not, this backlash will be a wake up call for them

It's in poor taste, but lol at y'all thinking Gaga is behind this tweet/decision. Like I love her, and I think she's involved in HL, but I highly doubt she was like "let's release a bundle right now." It's a whole as* business, with thousands of employees and I doubt she signs off on every single decision no matter what she says...  It's not like she tweeted this out from her own account.

At the end of the day, she is the boss though so she should be more aware of what her company tweets/does right now.

Edited: *I said thousands, but that's probably too much...but there has to be at least 500 people involved with a company of that size. And I doubt it was going to originally ship right away....still a dumb decision though!

Also, it's poor taste by HL and hopefully they see the backlash and stop. But I really hope fans don't get Gaga dragged for this decision by blowing it up on twitter. As I said above, as the boss she's ultimately responsible but it's a company with thousands of people and I highly doubt she checks on every decision regardless of what she may claim.

The (deserved imo) backlash to this reminds me why I was so excited about the makeup line not being called Lady Gaga Cosmetics or sth similar.

Even though I'm not the biggest fan of HausLabs from a makeup wearer perspective I think they made the right decision to not give it her "name" so to speak. Yes, she is the face of the brand but a headline like "Lady Gaga hypocritically postpones album release due to COVID-19 while Lady Gaga Cosmetics tries to sell you expensive makeup bundles" would be way worse from an outsider's perspective. Names are powerful yo 

But seriously, I don't think Gaga herself had anything to do with this (at least I hope so) so let's keep it a bit cuter when it comes to her

of course she is not, but Gaga is the face of Haus Labs. She claims to be involved sooo much with all of her heart in this company, it was her passion do finally do her own make-up   so she's definitely pulling the strings here, forcing workers to ship out face chalk instead of them staying at home, practicing social distancing

 

or Haus Labs truly is the shameless cash grab I have been saying it is from the beginning and Gaga only cares about the $$ aspect of it and she's got a separate team doing all the work

The body of my post was tongue-in-cheek and intentionally self-deprecating, and in fact I'm not as much of a slob as I'm pretending to be, though I don't know if I have the guts to actually do my own highlights. (Just worked out and am about to shower and then put on proper clothing, as looking presentable occasionally does make me feel better.) I did mention in another post that I realize that makeup could be therapeutic for some people right now, as self-care is super important, and people have plenty of time to explore different looks without worrying that they're going to look like a clown in public. 

That said, I do wonder how they're managing this from a labor standpoint. It would help if they could clarify this. Maybe each employee did bring home some inventory, and perhaps the mail carrier is picking up the boxes from their homes. It would be helpful to know this. 

Edited to add: Even Amazon is prioritizing shipping "essential" goods right now, and it's not like they have the best labor practices.
